That Big Man vertical game both ends of the floor in addition to what AD brings …. from Jaxson is Huge. Seems if he plays hard he’s a bigger, stronger version of Wenyan? And with our coaching staff …. take it to the bank they’ll make him better over the course of camp and this coming season.
Between Jaxson and Colin I am not in too much of a panic for another big. We need another one eventually but there isn't much to pick from now. Rob needs time to work his magic. I like Jaxson's energy and his ability to PO the other teams is always good. I had rather have Wenyen back than anyone I can see us getting for the minimum.
His advanced Plus Minus and Box score metrics stink. Hopefully this was a scheme and development issue and the Lakers can make find the right role like they did to Rui
Pogba is a legit Futbol player. I’m just not a fan of his team. As for Jackson, it will be nice to have a lob threat again to get some easy buckets either in transition or off the PnR.
I love watching this kid play. I'm hoping he can stay focused and help us out. I haven't seen enough of him to really get a feel for his game, but he is exciting to watch.
Jax is simply a young version of JaVale, for better or for worse. I mean, he can be useful for sure, especially if he gets better at shotblocking. He can definitely hit his FTs, which is huge for this team.
hmmm...i wish? mcgee was ubertalented as a young player and just dumb. the shaqtin' stuff was really only a little unfair--guy didn't take his craft seriously. but he was bigger and had better eye hand coordination than hayes at the same age. and hayes's off-court maturity issues have been bigger than javale's were, imo. he's worth the vet min gambit, but i don't love that he's our only backup center right now. i might have felt more comfortable with wenyen, tbh, even if i understand why we wanted hayes (vertical threat is really helpful on offense with the rest of our personnel).
I agree, but in terms of overall scoring and rebounding numbers, the way they use their athleticism to catch lobs and dunk the ball, they are very similar. JaVale was a better shotblocker, Hayes is a better shooter from mid range, including free throws.
