http://www.nba.com/live1/ Check it out. Kobe apparently scolded Randle for hiding in an easy line during conditioning drills...when the cameras were off.
2 min to make 60pts.... each shot is 1? Byron is hard as hell Then he says "i'm pretty sure we're going to do this more than once"
Yes, I seen some of this...I want to watch the whole thing. Byron is exactly what we needed at this particular time in our franchise. Great environment for our young guys to grow up in...working hard, earning their playing time, and getting back to practicing the fundamentals, schemes of defense. Really, a breath of fresh air so far compared to our last two coaches...
Byron is a real hard*** and it's not hard to see why he's lost teams in the past. That style of practice just doesn't sit well with most professional athletes. They need to be coddled and loved, not given a hard time and forced to run. That being said, it looks like the majority of the team is embracing this kind of practice, this change in attitude. Kobe and Nash are nothing but glowing support. Lin and Young seem to be accepting of the way things are going. We haven't heard as much from Julius or Boozer or really any of the big men, but hopefully they're on board too. I'm really digging this team. I don't think there's a single player that I dislike. I don't think there's a single player I wish wasn't here. I really can't wait to see this team in action.
I know where you got that from ... But anyway. This training camp was refreshing to see. In general I'm not so much a fan of all that up and down offense first basketball. I think by this type of basketball alone we will be way better than last year. And Swaggy is just so much fun man Btw.: I miss those old smileys they were classic
I think Scott will be fine here because like you said, he's got the support from the top of the player hierarchy. If they embrace it as the seasoned vets and set the tone, the rest of the players will buy in and fall in line. I don't know how much the cavs or his cp3 teams bought into his style, but neither squad screamed veteran leadership or work ethic to me. The fact that CP3 has had that pouty, sour face since college, I suspect he didn't like it.
