I think that's why Cassell and Dudz are being mentioned as assistant coaching targets for him. That's their specialty.

JJ needs to start thinking everyday about AD being a top defensive player if he has any chance of not washing out quickly as our head coach if hired.

maybe if jj is convinced AD is a s***ty defender, he'll convince rob and company to go get some help on that end, and we'll be a good defensive team again?!

I like that Melo still says “we” after one season on the Lakers.

I wonder if he says we in regard to the Knick’s or Nuggets?

I have very strange feelings that JJ is already better coach than Lue.I have no clue why Ty even considered an elite coach

$70m over 5... are we even now? You know...after the embarrassment of having a Lakers birthday cake and not getting the job

Plus the whole leveraging our current opening to secure this bag. I think this entitles us to a 5% tax.

I think he's actually done a great job navigating all of their injuries and staying at the top of the standings. They haven't won jack, but managing what they've had to work with, I'd say he's been solid.

He won a championship already, and manage Lebron and co. Obviously if that was super easy, Lebron would have won more championships. Very few coaches who are active have won a championship. He called Lebron on his BS and he coached that team.

He's elite in the world of current coaches. Whether or not we like him, I don't feel like it's that big of a deal to give him his props. To me it's clear he's a winning coach.

Ham is incomparable. I have nothing for you on that one.

“In this particular situation, JJ has been away from the game. So he’s able to gather this information a study the game and watch the game and talk to coaches and talk to GMs and go sit in in these training camps and understand the formulas of everybody. It’s almost the Steve Kerr path… so to me, I f*** with it because I think JJ has an opportunity. It’s just about what opportunity that he has. Because we need new culture, we need new energy in those seats.”

I'm not sure of half of what he's trying to say here. Half of it seems to be missing. :wasntme:

Spo is the only guy I'm willing to call elite right now. I think Lue is in the next tier with Nurse, Pop, Kerr, maybe Carlisle and Malone, guys that we've seen be huge value adds to their teams but haven't necessarily sustained it (Pop obviously was great for a long time, but he might be over the hill now). But after that, who knows. I know we all think Ham is the worst coach of all time, but 15 other teams probably think that about their guy. I think Ham is in a huge tier of coaches that don't add much, if any, value and can be actively harmful.

Finch ,Nurse and hopefully JJ best 3 coaches in NBA.Spo and especially Kerr are way overrated after what they did in world cup.
For Malone I am still not sure.Denver never won playoffs series vs team with 50 + wins
