I thought Ham was an absolute garbage coach, but it’s possible even that was understating how bad he was. AD was done with his a** in the playoffs, he’s playing with a motivation I haven’t seen since probably the bubble title year. This roster is not that good, it’s just not, we got 18 points from our bench, but they’re still playing with maximum effort, and he’s maximizing a lot of the talent we do have, like with Hayes. So far so good, very good.
I hate to rip on guys and I probably wanted him to have a chance while he was here. But ........ I think most people on this forum could outcoach him. Seeing this team make reasonable decisions and use their guys in a reasonable way, is producing such a better product on the floor. All Ham is, is a rah rah guy. Someone who can talk with the players, if they are having problems, give them pep talks etc. For a tertiary assistant coach, he could be just fine, but I actually don't think he has a mind for coaching. He just doesn't see the facts of it, everything is an emotional decision with nothing to back it up. So glad he is gone, JJ is doing really, really good!! Yay!!!!
So, the official tally is after 30 games. If the Lakers are in the top four of the conference, eating crow(black olives) will commence.
Nah man come on it has to allow for no Vando and Wood who are part of the team. Should not be THAT high for all the rage you have been dumping on the franchise over trades that weren’t there or too expensive for personnel and picks for what we’d get back. And the JJ hiring. Be fair here.
Wait, you don't think 20-10 would have them in the top four anyways? I thought this would be easier to tally. They could be 18-12 and be a 4th seed. Just saying.
