He's 81 years young today. A legend, a pioneer, and maybe the most forgotten player given what he did and was capable of doing on the floor. He was Dr. J before Julius and MJ before Michael.
And a very patient man to have worked for Donald Sterling all those years. And I should probably add that he was a pretty terrible drafter. With that many high draft picks, even in spite of the Donald, they should have had the opportunity to have been more competitive.
That footage is just amazing. I watched the Dr. and Jordan, but I never got to see Elgin play. The things he was doing are just incredible.
