Why should they improve? Really. As I mentioned weeks ago, the only thing that can salvage this season is a top 5 pick. That's it. Go into free agency with a top 5 pick, Houston's late 1st rounder and cap space. Best case scenario to expedite this rebuild.
I agree, but they haven't said it yet. I suppose that means we should all continue to see baffling rotations and whatnot. The truth is out: we're just trying to lose. Byron may or may not be a good coach, but he's sure not trying to win.
I don't get people saying we aren't bad enough to get a top 5 pick. Even if we had the 7th best record again we have a shot at it. We're one Kobe injury away from being bottom 2 in the league as far as roster goes though, and the way he's being used he's gonna get that injury. We suck, worse than I have ever seen as a Lakers fan. Last year we sucked bad, but that was with no Kobe, this is WITH Kobe. I can barely watch this team right now we're so bad.
Hate to say it but Kobe will get injured the way Byron is playing him. Too many minutes, especially those useless minutes when the game is already lost. Kobe doesn't have the legs to close out games like he used to be able to. At least last year we sucked, played no defense but the offensive side was occasionally entertaining. It's a nightmare to watch games this season, I just hope not a lot of teams start tanking.
I've resorted to doing something else and just playing the game on mute in the background. If it's really good I'll rewatch it on DVR, but otherwise I have better uses for my time. Without Kobe we're the Sixers. We're an AWFUL team.
We are already bottom 5 in the league. About following the games -- I am usually listening to the game in the background. Sometimes I take a 15-minutes break and come back. That's is called dedication BTW, because the games are mostly unwatchable.
Yeah feel the same. I 'm actually finding myself dozing through the TVO until the last quarter if I can even motivate to watch that now.
I've watched 1 game in person this season and a lot at bars while having a few mugs of beer and working on my Thesis. Gotta say that the beer helps
