D'Angelo Russell Discussion: Opted In!

No need for ignore it's all good. Your misrepresentation and hyperbole on my takes is interesting too. I just found it odd in the midst of Russell "appearing as" and "giving hope that" he may actually have gotten the reality of his career and done something to (hopefully) take it to a level where it's never been .... and what that means for the Lakers team this year, you bring up the negative of damn now it's going to be harder to trade him with Schroder gone. IMO a very grass is greener always post in the current situation. Even if Schroder was here, given the absolute bum we drafted in JHS (see I can be sarcastic with hyperbole too) .... that would be one heck of a loss at the PG position all things considered if we were bringing some other positional player back and losing DLO.

I came here to talk about DLO and got distracted by all the Max talk.

I know you wouldn't start Max and likely no one else on here would besides me either, I am cool with that. I can see what is coming and glad to wait. I was in this same position with AR not that long ago...lol.

 

lol, was watching the gabe/reaves unit work and was like...i wonder if max/reaves might work better here. /toklat

 

DLO Curry out there.

His confidence is sky high right now.

 

Plus he looks faster and more physical on D with his smarts to go with it. His offense and PG play has been awesome 3 straight games. What a combo he and Reaves are! Perfect complements to one another.

 

I like DLo’s skillset on this team. Liked it last season even after the Denver series too.

DLO is looking like the guy I hoped he’d be when we drafted him. Great shooting and playmaking.

 

I love how smooth his game can be when everything is clicking.

his team defense has impressed me in the preseason. moar plz.

 

Yeah, he's reading the lanes better and even got a stop in the paint last night. I was glad to hear him talk about it in the post game interview I posted above, that he's aware and knows he needs to do more to stay on the floor. That's definitely a more aware position than the "my game's nice" comments from him.

 

... and then comes the playoffs

 

Luckily for us, we can just sit him and dump all of his PG minutes into AR and Gabe, with Max playing 1/2 on D.

Without missing a bit.
