    That stood out as soon as I read it. Practically speaking I don't think Ball can play the 2 in the pro's, but DLO can play the 1 and 2. Ball probably knows this, thus the statement. Ball may be the best thing to happen to DLO besides moving to the 2. I would be shocked if that didn't work out.

    I think it's a little layered.

    1) Russell should be upset about that. He came here thinking this was going to be his team and he was going to be the man and it was all going to come to him. Now there's another guard in town, he should be upset. I would be disappointed if he heard all that and said, "yes he's right!".
    2) I think once they play together Russell will get over it very quickly. When Russell realizes that Ball doesn't hold on to the ball and that Russell will have ample opportunities to touch the ball, he'll forgive all that stuff.
    3) I think Ball is overestimating himself a bit, but I don't mind the confidence. I think what he brings will get us more wins. Can't be upset.
    4) Over time, I think the Russell's or Ball's team will fade. There's room for both to thrive.

    i think that once ball has to deal with back court pressure from an nba defender, russell will probably get his nominal job back.

    I am pretty sure abeer means nominal - it doesn't matter what we call DAR's position. We know what he's doing: scoring and handling the ball a good deal.

    I think some fans are overestimating Ball being the "primary" ball handler anyway, including fans who want Russell to have the ball more. That's not Ball's game anyway, so Ball fans really aren't going to be upset seeing Russell with the ball. Ball doesn't pound the ball anyway.

    Russell fans should be happy with Ball. If it's any of the other guards, then Russell will have the ball less.

    I agree Ball's game is making quick passes, moving the big ball, and creating looks for his teammate.

    If they mesh Russell should be hitting 200 treys this season

    I think every NBA player should have confidence and say things like that. Russell also said he feels he was the best player in the draft when KAT was MILES better than him.

    If he is upset at Lonzo for saying that, he is a chump to begin with. What is Lonzop supposed to say? Well the Lakers don't need a PG, they have a GREAT one in Russell. They should take me though, even though its overkill.

    Also to take Russell for his words...he is a basketball player, he is not a PG or a SG. He is a primadonna though and immature so I have no doubt he will take this the wrong way.

    He's young, AF.. think we forget his age sometimes cause we want him to step up for us into all star status. Or perhaps don't overlook too much into his interviews and personality at this point. We got to stay humble and patient my fellow lakerans.

    some of that vid was sort of funny, and reminds me of something my friends and i might have done to each other when we were 16. but if that were russell, we should definitely burn him.

    i disagree with the sentiment. i'm actually bored by the pro sports bravado. lonzo's supposed to say that he feels he does different things than russell and could play with him. in fact, suggesting that you can play with lots of folks is great by me.

    i hope russell doesn't bother responding, though i'd be tempted when some unproven guy says he's taking the role i played last year because the team desperately needs him to do that. yeah, f*** you too. see you in camp.
