Rob of course most certainly lurks here and YOU drove him out of his ever lovin' mind .... no way he was going to listen to that all year again. Well done!!
Knecht in the combine was a very good athlete However, In real time he looks explosive vertically but not horizontally: doesn't real change direction real well on offense and defense The hope is despite his age hes still figuring out his body due to those growth spurts and he can get in game toal match those combine numbers. It's tough 23 yo prospects don't typically translate well to the NBA (man against boys doesn't work in the NBA). But then again these late.growth spurt guys like Curry, The Admiral,.Rodman have done very well.in the league
knecht's college game wasn't man vs. boys, stuff. actually, if you watch a prospect who used man vs. boys in college, it was carter, imo. absolute bully at the guard spot, but that will be more difficult in the nba. knecht succeeded via skill--primarily his shooting and his ability to attack the resulting closeouts and finish with either hand. he's going to have to become a better passer off that to be a real difference maker on offense. on defense; we'll have to see how he does within a team defensive scheme as it's unlikely he develops lateral quickness in a way that's going to make him able to contain a lot of nba wings in isolation. that said, less athletic guys have been competent defensively. comes down to hoop iq. that's where the passing concerns me, though, as those things tend to be related.
I’m so relieved we didn’t sign Klay otherwise we won’t see what this ol’ rook can do, splash replacement
