He's ready. Just as long as he stays active defensively. That offensive ability is a top 8 rotation player level today. If anyone can draw up good actions for a movement shooter, it's JJ. Did a better job at getting downhill and to the rim than expected. Even a poster in the reel. Everyone says he bulked up, even though everyone puts on 15 pounds of muscle every summer reportedly, he does look bigger out there. Just stay active and engaged. With his size, consistent effort defensively will get him on the court with that J
i think for year 1, we need to limit him as an on-ball creator, as that's where he's tended to struggle, imo. but everywhere else, he looks really good.
And we've got enough guards + AD and Bron, that should be fairly limited. Very different skillset from his teammates than the point guardless summer league team where he was frighteningly our best ball handler.
What’s a first time visitor to think dropping in here unaware of you and sirron’s “bit” from the Islands?
Have to play him with Lebron. DK not only can shoot off the catch but the ability to find open space and the finishing at the rim is unique on the roster. He's like a perfect fit for the way Lebron can find guys all over the court
Coming for some of your minutes with LeBron .... Rui, in addition to what he gets for wherever off the bench, because of what Pioneer said above. I don't see a guy at all that won't be able to be at least a decent defender, like AR, but he's built a lot better for it with more strength, athleticism, longer reach and and a bit of "nasty" to him.
One bright spot of Vando not being available, is Dalton taking all of those minutes. He will develop much faster and I’m here for it!
True story, it will be great for him. His shot is automatic, I think the last one I saw like this in P&G was Sasha. Really curious to see him with the stars and the additional space he will have. Great pick!!
his strength and burst right at the rim has surprised me a bit and is a ceiling-raiser, imo. he can finish with either hand with contact. feel like this makes him different than a doug mcdermott type.
if Castleton makes the big roster, we're going to get a call from the League for sure. Everyone has limits.
He's a freakin explosive finisher - not many guys who can shoot with range and finish off at the rim like he can. Allan Houston just comes to mind with him
