I was a tiny bit dubious at his signing but I'm really warming up to it now. He's a good talent that the FO has had its eyes on for a while and he's on a value contract. There's no downside. If he finds his footing here it'll be a big plus. Again, I'm looking to see him play more of backup SG than SF because of the logjam with Rui, Prince and Vando. But you never know.
I'm a fan and have been for awhile. That said, he's got a lot to prove on a deep team. He's going to have to earn more time by really contributing every time he is put on the floor and not pouting when he has to sit.
i think it will take an injury to open the door for him, but the odds are in his favor. lebron or reaves missing time will open up minutes at the 3 and 2 at various points. cam needs to be ready to pounce on those opportunities. it's tough; i view him like lonnie--he's got the talent and brings some things we need, but it's hard to justify playing him ahead of other guys.
I just never got it why people loved him even back to Duke. That team has Zion, RJ, and him and he looked totally anonymous. Should have feasted with all the attention those guys got and he never stood out.
i've seen him look better. he honestly looked out of shape. just really bad on both ends. slow. rudy gay was spritely in comparison.
Not a good night for all of us Cam apologists. just looked off pretty much the entire time. When I felt like he was settling down he got hurt. certainly not a performance that’s going to earn minutes on a deep roster.
One of the worst games I've seen him play. Holy s*** Batman! Nearly every decision he made was the wrong one. I was in full Duke mode, yelling at Ham to Wasn't his night. Confidence makes or breaks him and last night it was compounding in the wrong direction. Only thing I can takeaway on the good side, he made a couple good reads against Kuminga... and then like 12 bad reads.
Glue him to the bench. He's just not that good and he has flamed out pretty much everywhere. Rather have Max Christie get minutes
