Took the comp a bit far, but Cam can do some impressive things on his way to the basket. Having those moves helps because for an athlete of his size, he doesn't have the above the rim game you might expect based on his physical profile.
I wasn’t that high on him for this season but the fact is he provides something we’ve been missing as a scoring wing with size off the bench. We’ve been after him for a while now so to get him at vet min as a reclamation project is about as good as we could hope for. So far we’ve had good luck with the FA scoring wings for cheap in Monk and Walker. Nice to get one with size at 6 ft 7. Good to hear him at least talk about defense as well.
lebron's old. we're going to need some guys to step up at the sf position (i think rui/vando/prince can all play lots of pf) when he's out with old guy stuff. that will be cam's chance. he's got a ton of talent, just like monk and walker (as jones said). we can almost hope he'll be another successful one-year rental, even if it feels a little sad. establishing ourselves as a place where highly talented guys reclaim value is a nice thing.
Apparently he was hooping with Cade, some other Pistons, some Raptors, a future Dukie, and Russ (yuck) today
