end of bench or trade ballast. as long as we stay under the second apron, we can roll up some of these opt-ins to make trades work.

Last season is a blur at this point, but wasn't a main reason we won the in season tourney was how well he was playing?

he had a great stretch (maybe while we were benching reaves?), but he completely crashed and was unplayable by the end of the year. no idea what happened.

I know he struggled, but when it comes to players hitting that sort of wall and not coming out of it I do wonder how much of the Darvin dragged him and others down.

i think this may actually be one instance in which darvin was good for a player. he gave reddish a longer leash than max (imo) and reddish flew a bit before crashing. ham clearly has a thing for undertalented hustle guys. and that's not bad as long as you don't overdo it and alienate your more talented players in the process. it's a delicate dance, but that's why you're paid the big bucks as a head coach.

Pimple happened. Same what happened (in reverse, chronologically) to Prince.

So bizarre. He was playing all NBA defense and at least passable on offense and then he crashed.

Don't understand how a guy like him who was supposed to be a star offensive player just can't get out of his own way on offense

It has to be psychological... the guy has amazing physical tools to play basketball at the highest level. Like, in the worst case, he should be a slightly shorter version of Vanderbilt.

I didn't think Reddish was going to be a star offensive player coming out of Duke. Guy got this far bc he's athletic, that's it.

He's just not that good. He's not consistent and I doubt it will be. Good for a 3rd stringer in a contender or a "project" in a team that wants to lose.
If he stays it's a bad sign

Get rid of him - don't want any excuses next year when Christie/Knecht don't play.

He’s a minimum guy, I don’t mind him if he can’t be traded or released without CBA repercussions
