i think more correlation, but some causation, too. he takes pressure off AD and especially lebron on offense. and he's our third best player. that said, a LOT has to go wrong to lose two games by like 1000 points.
Yeah agree with that. He's probably not playing against Portland either, so hopefully he's back after the little break
He's getting his second shoe tomorrow. https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketb...2-signature-shoe-set-release-kicks-crew-dec-7
Only two weeks away. People dramatically undervalue AR. I’m not so sure they will anymore after watching this awful stretch of play without him.
Reaves (pelvis) is deemed probable for Friday's game versus the TImberwolves, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports
I didn't realize he played every single game last year until they mentioned it on one of these recent broadcasts. I will forever be frustrated that we made the Russ trade in the 2021 summer because we thought we needed more ballhandling/creation and kept THT over Caruso because we thought we needed more ballhandling/creation, when little did we know that we got the exact f***ing guy we needed as a UDFA in Austin that same summer. Obviously no one thought he was going to be this good, but its frustrating nonetheless.
TBH..I don't think Austin would have got his shot, with Caruso and KCP still here though. To keep it real, there is nothing to suggest that he would have bumped either out of the rotation. Sometimes the opportunity to play, is the key factor to a player's success. Had we kept those guys, we would have been looking for more of a traditional ball handler at PG. Frank liked his veterans, KCP and Caruso fit his system.
That's correct IMO. Austin being a great value on his contract, doesn't mean that he should be our 3rd best player.
yeah, it's a bit hyperbolic to say he's a sixth-best player. but saying he's not a third-best player or that if he's your third-best, you better have a 4-way tie for third-best does make some sense to me. and this is all fine--he's paid like a 7th or 8th man on a good team.
This is one of the dumbest takes I’ve heard regarding the Lakers in the past several years. Yeah, Austin is totally the problem with the Lakers right now.
