After watching the last game, I'm on the HYPE train. He plays with so much intention, I completely believe he will be at the very least a solid role player in the NBA. Those hesitation moves and that poise when he has the ball, like he always knows what he's doing.

Great pick, we have an unbelievable scouting department, they should get raised

Definitely recommend listening to him on that podcast a couple pages back. Just a little over 30 minutes. His closest neighbor growing up on that farm in AK was his grandpa and he couldn’t even see his house. 3 HS state championships and the Witchita State to Oklahoma transfer is where he was allowed to play his full game rather than be plugged in just as a shooter on offense, which as has been stated he was really good at with the 45% from 3. Good listen. Great kid.

hayward's bigger, too, and hayward was actually a lot more athletic before the injuries.

brent barry without the hops? think he was a little taller, too. not a lot of great comps.

He had some bad moments in the 4th: fox kept beating going to his left which is his stronger hand (reaves not familiar with Fox's game?). Couldnt break down Holmes off the dribble.

That being said as off ball roleplayers holy s*** did he have some moments. Able to hit the open 3, can go backdoor, and crafty passes

he contained fox on a couple drives early in the game (i didn't see the 4th), but tbh, he shouldn't be charged with guarding fox in isolation, nor should most nba sgs.

holmes is quick and long; that's tough for a 6'5" non-athlete. i think in time, he'll learn how to exploit those matchups. but again, we shouldn't need that with our roster.

One of the Kam Brothers brought up an interesting comparison I hadn't thought about on their podcast this week.

No. Not Karl Malone. Rather rookie Luke. Not necessarily their games, but moreso their fit and role on a Hall of Fame team. Both are heady players who gained early favor from coach.

Or maybe that was their diversionary way of saying they think there's something going on between one of the big 3 and Austin .... like clearly there is between Luke and Karl here?

Hey, you can't forget about Horace. He was "close" with Luke too.

Now we need Britney to show interest to really drive this comparison home.

Him and Richard Jefferson have some interesting photos. Let’s hope Hillbilly stays away from boat pictures for awhile.
