Yes because every NBA player makes exactly the amount they're worth. You can't be serious with this argument.
You are aware he is making the MAX any team could pay him for first 2 years of his contract because of the Arenas rule, and Lakers let it be known they would match any poison pill higher offer the last 2 years with his player option on the fourth if another team tried to steal him. Right? He is also a more valuable player than DLO, all around both sides of the ball and between the ears factored in, and who teams ask for instead of DLO. Who’s making 18M and agreed pretty much by everyone his true “worth”. So again … great take especially with you doubling down on it. More like ridiculous at that point.
Why are you all of a sudden on “this hill” fighting so hard just because @KareemtheGreat33 asked if Murray was worth 20M more? You came up with the poor generalization (in this case with Reaves) that he’s getting paid what he’s worth, which he most definitely is not … it’s an artificial cap. And ignored the facts of what DLO, who is getting paid much more closely to your thesis, but is a less valuable all around basketball player BOTH sides of the ball and between the ears.
True but we have him next two seasons at half the price and it will cost more personnel than Austin PLUS picks to get Murray. who IMO is a marginally more valuable player as of last season. Austin will continue to get better. In a couple years it will/would hurt worse than Caruso, again IMO.
There’s no hill. You and I just have different opinions on AR worth. As far as your DLo comparison he was the third best player on the team last year during the regular season which should show you how badly this team needs an upgrade in talent. I see a better talent in Murray you don’t that’s all this is.
I didn't debate you on your "definitive" take Murray was a better player after I first put the reasons I would not do that trade in a "heartbeat". But you're way off with this nonsense AR is NOT underpaid by the Arenas rule cap for the value he gives to the Lakers. Hell we went all the way to the WCF two seasons ago before DLO choked and after he helped turn the team around when he and Vando and Rui arrived at the deadline .... but Steve Kerr called AR the 3rd best player on the Lakers following his 2nd season. And continued all summer during FIBA while giving him big and the clutch minutes, to point out all the things he does toward winning basketball. DLO sucks in comparison on defense and between the ears once it gets tougher in the playoffs. Most of us don't want to blow our picks and AR if he has to be included in a mega deal unless it's for a legit superstar. Murray ain't it and it would cost us dearly to get him in a heartbeat.
How well did that FIBA team do? The NBA has assured everyone will have First round pick every other year so there’s no blowing picks. They’ve also assured there will be no more dynasties with the new CBA so it would be wise to play for the following year.
So he was a role player that didn’t cut it at supporting the superstars? Resorting to name calling is unnecessary Just because I believe you’re wrong in your assessment
OK, now Reaves is why we didn't win the tournament. With these kinds of replies it's my opinion you are so far off base about what Reaves is actually worth in salary that you are trolling. Teams want HIM in deals, not DLO or anyone else other than LeBron or AD and I'll take the word of Kerr, my own eyes and most people on this forum's opinions over your sudden contrarian take.
Where did i say it was his fault? That’s you talking not me.You can do/think anything you want doesn’t matter to me.Im positive I’m not the only poster that would trade AR for Dejaunte
