Happy for his new shoe deal. Not so happy that it’s with a Chinese company. I can’t get into why here, but I’ll just say that it’s disgusting how the Government treats their people.
Chinese brands are MUCH better now. The Way of Wade shoes are freakin SICK. Best basketball kicks i tried in years.
Good to hear and if they are less than what he had been preferring to play in from well known brands, also probably made in China, he will hold them to those standards. What strikes you as awesome on the Wade shoes?
Hopefully AR knows that without being on the Lakers, he wouldn't get a shoe deal from anyone. Well maybe not this early. He should considers that when deciding on his next contract.
Honestly? Everything. Great traction, support, comfortable as hell and the carbon plate gives you this "extra bounce feeling". PITA to get them here in Poland (even Europe in general i think), expensive as well... but well worth it. I need to put my hands on a pair of low tops... or 3, just in case
i didn't see any change in the new cba to suggest such a thing is possible. unless they're just chattering about if we use the full mle or take in a S&T. but we'll do neither if they cost us reaves, so it's sort of a d****** conversation. i think where it makes more sense to talk about is with rui and dlo and bamba and beasley. those are spots where changes in the cba could affect our thinking. and even then--we can technically just sign all of our current players to the maximum possible and no one can say boo. our payroll would probably still be lower than the clips or gs.
It's clarified right after: But league sources have clarified to B/R that the spirit of the rule will remain intact come July. a.k.a. I have nothing to write, so let me fill a couple lines of text
"the spirit of the rule" language implies that the technical verbiage of the rule has changed, and i don't think it has. at least i've seen no report of that. if so, that should have headlined those lists of major changes, as it's bigger than several others that have been highlighted, imo. scrapping the arenas rule would change things. the only thing i can think of that's relevant is the new rules about 2nd round contracts. i suppose if you don't need to use exceptions to gain bird rights on 2nds anymore, the arenas rule becomes less necessary. but again, i didn't see anything about deleting that provision.
that rule closed a loophole. I don't think they would intentionally pass something that was adverse to the Band-Aid they already made.
yeah, i can't figure what they're hinting at, other than my suggestion above, which would be quite a reach for their phrasing. just more media trying to scare because they're mad our udfa is better than most recent lotto picks.
Forget the damn Riviera Country Club Austin and get your a** over close by to that hill near UCLA that Kobe used to run in the heat of summer!! ..... just kidding, I think it's great he's virtually a scratch golfer. Jerry West loved the sport too. He used to chairman the US Open events at Riviera.
yeah, uh...let's see what each would fetch on the open market. it doesn't even deserve a response, and he just wants to try to plant a flag in case things go south with reaves (which will only happen via injury, btw, dude's bona fide, imo). similar sentiment comes out in the "teams will just offer to put pressure on the lakers". so some team that's probably gutted themselves for cap space is going to overpay reaves just to weaken the lakers, who are just one of many competitors? that's just stupid. the only person that petty is pritchard, imo, and even he won't do it. the team that makes the big offer for reaves believes it's good value, period.
