With my other team being the Orlando Magic, I'd be interested in seeing Stan Van Gundy as HC. He's had good success with bigs and defense in the past. He could hire his old guard JJ Reddick as an assistant. I think he's be a great match for the Lakers. He probably wouldn't take any s*** from LeBron, which I think is a GREAT thing.
He lost his Pistons and New Orleans teams. The league has changed and left both Van Gundys behind. He had success with Dwight in a very different NBA. He hasn't coached a really good season since 09-10. That's a hard no for me.
So he misses the locker room and 9 year olds don't do it for him. Got it. Still not seeing how that makes him qualified quite yet, but maybe he'll be amazing wherever he'll land. But when other former players say he'll never be able to command the locker room of that locker room, I don't dismiss that lightly.
You referring to the Lou Williams comments? Dude left the bubble to go to a strip club. Not interested in anything he has to say about respect.
I don’t know any of these sought after assistant coaches and I presume I have the same level of knowledge with our FO when it comes to them I just want to pounce on top notch coaches being fired or quit after the playoffs
One name off the board. One less Ham associate in the mix. Also the other team looking at JJ is not in play.
LOL … poach a coach from a team in the middle of the playoffs? C Bags let it happen …. must not have needed him. But wow Mitch …. errrr …. Steve!
