yeah. sorta disagree--i feel like this was probably our last best chance, with both lebron and AD having relatively healthy years. i just don't see that repeating next year, and after that lebron's 40. ham's incompetence and lebron's impatience (whole roster on trade block yet again) hurt us this year. that said IF lebron and AD can be healthy again, we're really just a couple tweaks and a better coach away from being right in the mix, yes.
Cool. Thanks. Interview everybody; do some due diligence and find out what other teams are doing. This is your chance. Take all the time you need and select the right candidate.
Significant because if retained and they pick his staff, Ishbia is a billionaire who likes splashes. He'll overpay assistants, potentially limiting some of our options for assistant coaches.
Health willing is ALWAYS all of our lineup hopes, dreams and schemes goes without saying I would think.
Lebron was still pushing for a trade at the deadline. I don't think he's going to be happy with a couple of tweaks. He's still going to ignore whoever, we hire as the coach anyway.

I'm Ok with coach Bud, you can't replace championship experience, and at least I doubt he'll be bossed around by Lebron, and just because his assistant was an incompetent idiot, doesn't mean it'll be the same story. JJ can come on as an assistant if he must.
I'm not sure how you sell that to fans. Yeah, you know the guy we just fired? Well the guy who taught him everything he knows. Yeah. No, we're serious. Yeah, we want to hire him... and pay him $10m a year.
No more retreads. ..... just thought this gif was amazing >> ly disgusting. Anyone ever see The Fires of Kuwait in IMAX?
I am not Bud's biggest fan, but I don't know how you can explain a dude with zero coaching experience is more suited to coach this team than a championship coach. Unless you're just accepting whoever we get will be Lebron's puppet.
i've phrased it other ways, but basically...yes? as others mentioned--ham's a bud disciple and did bud things here (5-out, etc.). why do this again? bud has some cache for a non-lebron, non-lakers franchise. if we're going re-tread, i'd prefer stotts, tbh. he's won in different ways with different personnel (obv never broke through), and i think he'd take a crack at winning here very seriously. i was really impressed with what he did with those portland teams. they shouldn't have been that good, imo. anyway, i'm anti-overcorrect here, which means i'm ok with having another rookie head coach. i like that we're looking at all three kinds of options (full retread, experienced assistant, noob), actually. but in the end, i return to the beginning: if lebron's here, the coach can only influence so much, imo. so make sure lebron doesn't have something to whine about there.
