He normally starts basketball after 2 and a half months.

:SadPau2: …. meh the bling in the last video looks good hanging on him. If you like all that. Wow. Yeah. No wonder he’s no better …. in fact getting worse. All those muscle memories starting to fade as he ages.

    :p

rest is fine. not playing basketball is also fine at his career stage. never shooting the ball is NOT FINE. it's muscle memory and repetition. i guarantee curry doesn't have a 2-month period where he doesn't touch a basketball. probably not since he was 3.

maybe he needs to change his normal offseason routine given how badly he's shot the ball the last couple seasons

Yeah, "normal" ain't cutting it with what we saw from last year's shooting. Maybe switch it up a little and break a sweat a few days a week by getting a few shots up.

Little less gaming, little more hooping. Nothing intense, like abeer said, just so he remembers what a basketball feels like.

i beat that drum all year last year. we know how to generate better looks, but didn't have AD take any of those.

This discussion motivated me to finally go to the courts and shoot some hoops for the first time in over a year.

My objective being to defend AD; if I could get in rhythm and feel good about my own jumpshot after so long, a few months off for a star professional athlete shouldn’t be a big deal.

Well… I did not succeed lmao

lol, my nephew came out over xmas and wanted to shoot hoops. i hadn't in about two years. we went out several days during the visit, and only near the end did i start shooting even close to what i would call "new normal". and that's just standing around unguarded. imagine trying to ramp up from that to the pace and competitiveness of the nba. and then you see how you can go from 33% to 18% in a couple years.

    He does look thick, solid.

More so than in years past when he was skinny kid looking. He looks fit.

Imagine the great team we could build long term if we flipped all of our Big 3 for future assets and "pieces" that fit our future team vision. If this team isn't going anywhere, why fight it? I'd rather watch a scrappy team who cares than three big egos that can't find a way to stay healthy or fit into a team concept as their skills erode. Unable or unwilling to change their games.

I think it would be the wisest thing long term purely from a strategic standpoint, but none of it will happen.

I don't know how he trains but there is plenty to suggest it isn't working. My biggest concern with AD is he just does not seem to have the motivation to work on his game and start the season in shape. I know you have to play games to get in real game shape but your conditioning needs to be good enough that you can play hard enough to get into game shape. So much this season depends on AD having a good year. These kind of reports are scary.
