Yea Chuck is a Laker hater, but I do agree with him on his assessment of AD and also partially agree with him on Vogel in the sense that I do think he's being made out to be the scapegoat, but at the same time he too is not without blame. The rotations so far this season have been frustrating as hell.

Not one single shooter and 3 guys smaller than 6'5 in the starting 5

" AD is the biggest reason the Lakers suck !"

lol, right? and the focus on williams getting an alley oop behind him when two plays previous AD broke one up by using the ball to literally throw williams out of bounds. i guess that play didn't happen. almost no other nba player makes that play. lakers fans: beta.

I am guessing Davis Pau 2 point zeroing/Sam Perkinsing the regular season after a disastrous playoffs to be healthier this time around

he's not entirely wrong. his presentation is a bit hyperbolic, but his main point: AD hasn't been a top 5 player this year, is true. i think he's been closer than folks are suggesting (and barkley's implying). and i think russ was absolutely terrible for the first 10-12 games of the year, and now that he's playing well, people want to act like those games didn't happen. AD has played pretty good but not great ball throughout the first 1/3 of the season. lebron's missed half of it and westbrook actively made us worse for half of it. but we're going after AD.

anyway, i hope AD watches and gets some extra motivation, but i think he's been pretty good and the most reliable of our top guys.

16 rebounds is more like it. He's had some very dull games being weak on the boards no doubt. He's incredible when he's rebounding, he finds an outlet quickly and gets up the floor really well for a big... his defense has been all over the place, he's elite when he wants to be clearly.

This team doesn't get enough FT attempts, if they can start forcing and-one situations, getting to the line and out rebounding other teams (like they should be doing) it's going to be a much different season. A.D. use to be automatic at the FT line, he earned the right to make the penalty shots but he's been missing quite a bit of them of late.

A few games back AD and Lebron both played around 48-49 minutes a PIECE and only had 15 TOTAL rebounds in nearly 100 minutes of basketball...... come on now, that's ridiculous. Those guys are massive and Lebron is a tank even at his age he can do better than 7 rebounds in 49 minutes..

I think they know all of this, I have hope it all peaks going into the playoffs and I do think this team will easily rise up the standings going into the New Year.

At some point the reality that we have both Lebron and Russ on this team too, should sink in. Those two are Hall of Fame players, and they can both still play at an elite level. This isn't 2019, we don't need AD to be a beast every night, in order to win games, that narrative is out of place. It doesn't help when James misses half of the season, and Russ has to adjust to another new team in the process. The focus is then placed on Anthony, it comes with the territory of being an elite player. I was more concerned with AD's health than anything going into the season. He looks healthy to me, he has already proven his worth in the Championship season, and by what his absence meant, even when he wasn't at 100 percent when he did play against Phoenix last season. I'm not all that stressed over Anthony's play so far, just like the team as a whole, I believe that his best basketball is still to come.

Davis is more and more becoming Pau 2.0.

Not from his playing style...but a massively talented bigman who tends to not be mean enough.

He is always busy talking about what we need to do...we need to play like the underdogs, we need to man up on D, we need to rebound etc...how about doing it?

didn't see the game (was worried about this outcome), but did see AD yet again saying we need to play hard.

it was a red flag when we were saying it 10 games ago. it's pretty much an epitaph now.

Yep. It just rings so hollow when he puts out only an ok game without the necessary energy himself. I love AD but his leadership leaves something to be desired so far this year. I’m thankful he’s been healthy and at times dominant, but he’s needs to be better more often for us to do what he wants, ie win multiple games in a row, and become a legitimate contender for the championship again. Until then it’s just so much hot air.

Playing hard is a vanilla excuse, Memphis didn't play "harder", they didn't make as many mistakes. Playing "smarter ' is more of the issue, and coaching "smarter " goes along with it.
