Anthony Davis Discussion: That's Why They Pay Me The Big Bucks

I mean, she wasn’t as anti-Laker as I anticipated, not really at all, but from her laughing at us and hating on us since July I’d have expected a different tone or stance. She’s been literally laughing at our free agent signings outside of LeBron since July, and saying how much of a mistake it was that we didn’t trade our kids for Kawhi (or George before that, or another all-star), and how we’re wasting a year of LeBron’s prime. So I’d truly expected her to say we need to trade the farm for AD, kind of surprising to hear none of that. Also, why the hell do people keep bringing up the Knicks in conjunction with Paul’s statement on why AD wants to be traded? How does him wanting to go to a winning franchise and to compete regularly for championships, and the Knicks connected in any way whatsoever? They have possibly the worst owner in professional sports. That’s like saying if an NFL player demanded a trade to a perpetual contender someone suggesting the Jets or Browns are a good option. Seriously, huh?

 

Sarcasm, right? The Pelicans would laugh and hang up. We have to try and get this done, we can’t keep doing this 20__ free agent plan, it cost us George and it will likely cost us Kawhi. You get the stars first, then you can work on the depth, stars are much harder to get, especially a top 5 player. We’d have 2 of the top 5 players in the league.

 

He does miss games every year, but at least he’s never had a really bad injury. Least games he’s played is 61, most he’s played is 75 in each of the last 2 seasons. An quick average of his 6 seasons before this one shows about 68 games played per season. I could live with that.
