The price should be lower for a woman beater. Like bargain bin.

i still hate how they didn't hire a legit offensive coordinator to pair with vogel when he was the HC. suns had the right idea locking down young to be his lead assistant

I assume that was Jason Kidd's role. I see that Frank is still getting his staff dictated to him. Having a finalist for your new job, named as your main assistant by the team? Sounds familiar

And just for the record I don’t want him on this team. My post was a sarcastic highlighting of why.

Question: Can Hield defend 1's at the same level as Dlo? They are around the same size, and both are regarded as bad defenders.

Hield again? What do we need a 32% 3pt shooter that doesn't defend for?

agree on not caring too much for hield at the price it would take to get him, but he's a career 40% shooter on high volume and high degree of difficulty. the dude can definitely shoot it.

and no, he can't defend pgs, and he's not a good enough ball handler to pair with reaves in a super sized back court.

Okay, so basically Dlo is a better fit than Hield at the 1. Is there anyone that fits that criteria better than Dlo that can be acquired via trade?

I like the idea of trading down with Indiana, regardless of Hield. #17 for #26 and #31 is good, financially. Both those picks together are essentially the same cost of the #17, but you get significant value having the first pick in the second round.

But, can Hield defend point guards at the same level as Dlo?

Having a legit movement shooter on this team would be nice, it really adds a nice dimension that’s noticeably absent for every team that doesn’t have one. I’d be fine with bringing Beasley back and I’d be fine sending him with a little draft compensation for Hield. Hield definitely isn’t a replacement for DLO though.

The thing is,his shooting would be better utilized in the starting unit, to create space for AD/LBJ/Reaves. But then, it would mean we go small, with Vandy going to the bench.

Shooting again..the only guy that has lived up to his shooting rep here, was Malik Monk. Teams cast off " shooters" for a reason. We should dump Beasley at that salary without question. D'Angelo simply chokes under pressure, it is what it is with him too. To entertain the idea of spending 46 million dollars on those two is utterly ridiculous. We can go in all kinds of directions with a core 4 of Lebron, AD,Austin and Rui. Just go get a proven playoffs performer is my solution. A guy that can be counted on, in every game during the playoffs. Preferably someone with some size, I don't really give a damn about their 3pt percentage. It will most certainly drop in LA anyway.

We only have (maybe) 2 seasons left, with one of the greatest players of all time. Our goal isn't to build comraderie, and have a great regular season, to get a good playoff seed. Our goal is to win a Championship, and you are not going to win a Championship, with chokers in your rotation.

We aren’t learning our lesson if we keep on going after these “shooters”… I think we should grow our own with the pressure of coming to the Lakers seemingly insurmountable for these 40% shooters

i'm not sure i do. i mean, if we do it, i trust our scouts, but right now, there could be a really solid prospect slip to 17. 26 is 9 spots further. no way a lively or wallace drops there.

yeah, i fell there a while back. for whatever reasons, guys with shooting reputations don't do it here. btw, this is another reason to keep dlo. outside from that denver series, he pretty much shot here just like he does everywhere else. this is rare!

Yep. And we have a 40% shooter in the starting lineup. He needs more touches, not less.
