Positional Efficiency (two preseason games) Disclaimer A) Super limited minutes for everyone. Disclaimer B) This is what I consider the "offensive" player stat. Disclaimer C) * means that the player's stats are projected in at least one area because they haven't recorded a positive stat in an area (for instance, if you haven't handed out an assist, I give you 1/2 an assist to calculate your passing efficiency). PG Russell 78 Calderon 66* Huertas 64 Jacobs 57* Wing Clarkson 82 Williams 81 Russell 76 Young 59* Deng 51 Brown 49 Ingram 39 Wear 35 Peace 34* BIG Black 140 (LOL) Zubac 101* Nance 98 Robinson 95* Peace 55* Randle 53 Mozgov 49 Yi 30*
Way to bolster my "Bigs Lineup of Doom", Moz & Yi. Eh screw it these are just "whatnots" per Travis. Except for Alcindor going "yard" on his Zu comment last night, "3 minutes of FURY. 2 blocks + another shot altered to hell, denver player on his way to the rim put on his a** with no Zubac foul. + 2 points and a board. I know you can't apply 36 min stats to this but good lord that kid has a feel inside for the game that makes me feel safe when he's playing."
I'd take most of the preseason numbers with a grain of salt, but by the end of it - they're worth something. This early, they're just a tiny, tiny sample.
Positional Efficiency (two preseason games) PG Huertas 88 Russell 70 Calderon 68 Jacobs 57* --I think most of us realize that Huertas could thrive (on offense) in the right system, and this might be the system for him. He will still get worked on D, but we could do far worse for a backup PG. The problem is that someone has to start at PG, and no one has been great. Russell's not bad. Wing Clarkson 79 Williams 79 Russell 74 Young 64* Deng 48* Wear 40* Brown 40* Ingram 36 Peace 34* --With JC and Lou running right below starter rating, it looks like Luke is making good use of them. After that, it's a mixed bag. You don't HATE Deng's number because of his contributions on defense. Same for Ingram, I guess, but you want more from both. BIG Black 89 Robinson 85* Nance 80 Zubac 70 Randle 69 Mozgov 61 Peace 55* Yi 27* --These numbers have normalized a bit. Cut Yi and Peace. We can run with these guys.

Yeah. His numbers on offense are great. Doesn't mean he should start. Really means he's being used in the correct role - on offense, at least.
I just checked out Huertas's defensive efficiency from last season. Somehow it's decent - 74, in fact. Even in terms of PER, effective FG% allowed, his numbers were good. This makes little sense, but there you have it.
I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that if he were just was given the playing time, he'd be in conversation for the MVB
ROFY, more than once though I read through a post of yours and think it is you until at the bottom find out it is GT or someone else and you are sharing with us. Just suggesting maybe up top let us know when you are doing that. Their thoughts are excellent or you wouldn't share them. Your thoughts typically are as well so that's where maybe some confusion could happen. Or maybe just me. No biggee. Keep em coming please.
I must be really dense. You posted a tweet from GT about DAR's TS% and asked @trodgers whether it's OK. This can mean several things: 1. T is the owner of the tweet, so you are ask his permission to post it. This is clearly not the case, as we know T dedicated himself to the thankless task of teaching Orlando post-teens. 2. You are the owner of the tweet (GT), and you ask permission to somewhat hijack the thread 3. You are NOT the owner, but ask permissions to post relevant information in a thread? You can't be that polite I looked through the replies to the tweet, and none seemed relevant to T, in any way. I am lost.
