    I think they started communicated to Luke when the season; once they got an assurance he would take the position, the pieces fell into place. Scott fired and Luke hired.

    I don't know which emotion is stronger: my happiness with the Luke hire, or my relief that we didn't follow our routine, going back three coaches now, of hiring the worst available coach.

    Earlier today there was a tweet that Kevin Ollie was going to stay with Connecticut. I don't think that was him deciding he didn't want to take our job. I think that was him getting word that we had cancelled his interview because we got the heads up from Luke. We got the most prized coaching candidate and one of the other sought after candidates only wanted to come to the NBA if it was with us.
