Vintage Mamba...a bit of everything...long range shooting, driving inside and mid range. Hoping for one last vintage performance on weds.
Bravo, Kobe, just simply bravo. I'm glad I decided to watch this game since it was early. First game I've watched in a long time and Kobe put on a show. I hope he has some left in the tank for Wed.
Just unreal. Fourth game of 30 plus this season in his TWENTIETH season. If there is someone else who can do that let me see him. It's unfortunate because if it wasn't for that Achilles we'd still be seeing him do this a lot more often. He'd still probably be a 20, 5, and 5 guy. For him to be able to blow by a great defender like Ariza as many times as he did is just remarkable. Just two more games. C'mon Kobe get 40. Just one time.
Injuries are what finally caught up to Kobe. If he was still relatively healthy I think he'd play until he was 40 and still be productive.
Epic performance today. Just totally awesome to see Kobe score 35 again on a very decent percentage shooting. So glad he had another great game.
if dantony hadn't run him into the ground, kobe would most likely be playing 2-3 more effective seasons the fact that he's still able to put up 30+ pts multiple times in today's NBA while playing on his last leg truly goes to show how great he is
I still believe he could play 50-60 games a season, 20 MPG, and be a decent vet for leadership, scoring, and playmaking. I think he could do it for another two or three seasons. I'm not saying I want that. I think we're not in a place for that kind of Kobe on this team.
Damn Kobe out there embarrassing himself with this dreadful KFT and making the game unwatchable these days. How many chose to skip watching this game? Dodger fans in the parking lot when Kirk Gibson went yard on two bad legs say hello.
Happy to see Kobe having a few more memorable moments in the NBA before he hangs it up. Too bad we couldn't give him a playoff berth but even with a solid cast, we would have needed a Kobe from 5 years ago to be able to do any damage.
damn that Achilles injury! I know its tough to know for sure but like some have said on prior pages, I unequivocally believe he could have performed how he did against the rockets consistently for at least a few more years if not for that dang injury. its hard to say I feel cheated out of a few years of his greatness but I just wish that never happened
