One thing for sure is that 24's final game will be a love-fest between him, the fans and management. I have Abdul-Jabbar's final regular season game on tape with all the pre and post game activities so it will be likely similar to it.
Unlike in the VCR days I could put in a tap and record the game that will and save it where ever I go. But with the DVR now, I don't know how to take recorded content from a DVR and put it on my laptop or something like that which I would need to do because I won't have this same DVR forever.
^^^ I've been wondering the same thing with my earlier TVO recorder with Lakers from 3-4 years ago on it and my current DirecTV 1080P 1TB recorder that's almost all Lakers games saved since. Do these have any standard way to transfer their contents to a hard drive or something? I think I've read that the reverse is true, you can hook up an external drive for more space to the specific DVR boxes?
I would like to know the same thing. What would be cool would be if the Lakers retired Kobe's jersey during his last game, at halftime or something.
SI just released a Bryant commemorative issue. Picked it up at a local supermarket. Cover has an earlier pic of him with a full head of hair with a #8 jersey...
I usually record it via DVR then save the footage to a DVD recorder on a DVD-R. I reckon transferring it to your laptop to save as a file can be done if you have the software for it and a trusted USB cable as a connection. Never done it that way...
That was great, but this will always be tops for me. Grant Hill could not have played better defense.
http://lakeshowlife.com/2016/03/23/lakers-kobe-bryants-top-5-moments-against-the-suns/6/ little piece my friend wrote. All of these moments we're so great back then. F-ing Tim Thomas had to ruin that series for us.
i don't know why but thinking about that series still annoys me to this day, 10 years later up 3-1 against a suns team that was seen as a legit title contender. the lakers had no business even winning a game in that series. this was the #7 seed, smush parker and kwame brown era lakers against the #2 suns. 30 seconds away from taking the series and @#$%&*! tim thomas happens. if only lamar had boxed out marion on nash's shot and stupid kwame hadn't fallen for the fake
I'm exactly the same, I always thought if we won that series we might of had a shot at making the finals. Kobe torched the Mavs that year and the Clips (if I have remembered correctly). But we had sweet revenge on them in our repeat run.
How does he find the resolve to continue putting together the great highlights clips and then the a-hole NBA shuts down so many. Guess he still has his private collection though.
I've researched this a lot recently and with the current DVR I have with AT&T U-Verse isn't not really possible.
We would've played Miami in the Finals. How great would that have been? Shaq vs Kobe in the Finals. I don't think Kobe would've let his team cough up a 2-0 series lead either. Would've been a great series.
I still have nightmares from time to time on that Tim Thomas Game 6 pump fake, Kwame goes by, and he hits the 3 to tie the game in the end. One rebound away from winning that series and we couldn't do it. But then what makes me feel a little bit better is thinking thank god what happened to the Spurs in the Finals didn't happen to us. They were one rebound away from beating the Heat in the Finals until Ray Allen blessed the King and saved them.
