Combined with Face (ie Tabarnak Face), it is a description of Byron Scott.

Yep, that win was anomaly but I'll take it. I was at LAX yesterday and had to do double takes watching the score when I first saw it at a bar in the middle of third quarter.

I just love how quick Magic was to give BS credit after that win but during our terrible loses, he's radio silent.

I pretty much watch every game win or lose, live or taped. I've suffered through all of our crappy losses so it was pretty ironic and hilarious that the biggest win of the year was the game I missed! I thought it was on at 6:30 as per our usual Sunday games so I didn't tape it. Got a bunch of texts in the afternoon and I couldn't believe it. I did tape the rebroadcast on ESPN at midnight but wow, this game was a complete and utter shocker!

I think it was obvious to anyone who's watched GS the past couple years that this was a blue moon situation where EVERYONE was cold from three. I mean they have five guys on the team who average 40% shooting on threes. And the whole team made like 15% or something like that. In the fourth they were like 3 for 28. If they had made anywhere near their usual level of threes or even lower like 30% - say 7 or 8 more - they would have beaten us. So this was clearly a total anomaly and it wasn't just our defense that did it.

But, that said, we played a great game and took advantage of their cold shooting. What was most impressive to me was that we kept our foot on the pedal the entire second half and didn't let them back into it. Huge props to the team for seizing the moment to beat the best team in the league. It was really heartening to see that happen, especially for our young core who all played great.

Yeah I agree they missed some gimmes, but credit to the Laker defense for making them also take some tough shots. Anyone who has played knows sometimes that kind activity can affect even open looks because you haven't seen the ball go in. Now, any one who has played also knows that one made shot can catch a shooter's fire. All I'm saying is that our guards and bigs worked their tails off in the pick and roll and made the game as uncomfortable as possible for the Warriors. It was impressive. I don't think it's sustainable and certainly Iguodala changes things for them, but I just wanted to give credit to guys like Huertas and Bass who played their tails off and had the game of the season.

WMC: Ryan Kelly played. Tarik Black did not. If Kelly and Bass can play together, then Bass and Black can play together.

My biggest current WMC: I want wins and the 3 rooks to shine but I'm afraid more and more that these things = excuses for Mitch and Jim to keep Scott. The fact that we should be a 30 win team will be overlooked. We're probably gonna have to put up with this a**t*** for a while.

This is my fear too. Will Mitch and Jim recognize that this mouth breather stubbornly clung to an antiquated offense which stifled the growth of our kids? I would imagine even Kobe would have looked better in this offense. And when I say "this offense" it's really just a few basic plays. No one can institute a full offense on the fly, but even with just a few plays mid season, we look like a different team. I am scared s---less that this team will lose the pick and keep Byron. Then, in the offseason, he will go back to the old offense we started with adding a couple new wrinkles and think it will work.

I'd honestly prefer Black playing SF than Ryan Kelly. I know we're short (although I don't know why we don't call people up from the D-Fenders), but Ryan Kelly doesn't belong on the court.

Drop Kelly, call up Vander Blue or Jabari Brown.

Way too many minutes for MWP. Guess the tank is back on.

Also our defense of the 3pter was disgustingly bad.

    Lou is coming back.......

No more ball movement. Less minutes for DR/JC and surprisingly Huertas. No one wants to watch you black hole your way to 20 points. :Tabarnak:

Had to watch LeBron play. That's my primary WMC.

Lou returning - that's second on the list.

Agreed with TRodgers. WMC is having to watch Lebronze. I can't stand him.

We let Frye get off to a hot start (clearly the Lakers didn't gameplan for his shooting ability) and then the lid came off the rim and they were hitting even well contested threes. Byron couldn't prepare this team on two nights rest. Maybe if he had another night.

What's nuts is we clearly had a gameplan for Golden State and it worked. It's a broken clock so occasionally it'll be right I suppose, but I mean we obviously did not prepare for Frye. Painfully obviously. What's strange is Love gets the random "rest" night and he plays a similar offensive game in Cleveland's system so... did we not prepare for Love either? Or was our gameplan to leave Love wide open?

I'm still pissed about last night mainly because the last two wins kind of made me think we were trending in the right direction offensively/defensively, coaching, etc....

    - Hibbert + Nance - 36 minutes, 5 points, 0 BOARDS = Pathetic.......C'mon man. If you can't get at least one in 36 minutes, you aren't trying.

    - Black - I know you were sick, but c'mon man you got your shot and you were completely not prepared for it. Dropping lobs, turning the ball over in only 5 minutes. Come ready to play every night. He could have cemented Hibbert on the bench the rest of the game as Black matched up better and completely dropped the ball (Literally).

    - Defensive game plan - You beat Lebron led teams by letting him do all the scoring and chasing all the shooters off the 3 point line. He made 2 frickin shots outside the paint out of 18 shots. The man can't shoot, LET HIM SHOOT jumpers. It annoys me behind belief that teams fail to do this. At least Pop and the Warriors are privy to this and I guess those are the only teams that matter when it comes to this.

    - Byron - Got scared last night and went vet heavy in key parts of the game that led to us getting blown out. DAR/Randle + Kobe were keeping us in the game and in key stretches DAR/Randle/Kobe were sitting in favor of Hibbert/MWP. As it has been all season, our young guys are our best players and give us the best chance to win, but he went back to Boron mode and went with vets. Big game and the youngsters came to play and were rewarded by watching a game we could compete be pissed away.

I feel a little bit better now.

I don't want Lou back at all. He has been a net negative, and Boron is in love with him. He plays no defense, and Boron lets him do whatever he wants out there. At least Marcelo gives us a look that we don't get, which is a pass first point guard. DAR and Clarkson can score just fine. No need for Lou.

I've been saying for a while that Lou puts up empty numbers and doesn't play winning basketball. Boron loves him though because he scores by getting fouled and putting up one point at a time. Grinding. Gritting. He also can take those 25 foot ISOs that Boron loves to call and turn them into free throws.

But as I've said before, he was the Sixth Man of the Year...and Toronto let him walk over 7 million? And then Toronto got better. If you feel you are close to competing for the conference (which Toronto was) and you let your Sixth Man of the Year walk for a 7 million dollar contract...right before the cap explodes to 90 million? They knew something we didn't. And now we know it too...and by "we" I mean everyone but Boron.
