Afflalo is about as good a scorer as Clarkson is. I get the point though - Clarkson can drive and create. Afflalo more of just a shooter.

I figure Deng will be good for 65-70 games, close to 2000 minutes.
Afflalo's good for 2500 minutes and 75 games.

If we added those two, how attractive do we start to look for a max and two MLE type signings? Maybe we add Hibbert and Nene, and someone like Batum thinks hard about us. Or, we add Hibbert and Neal or Budinger, and then snag Whiteside.

    Russell/Clarkson
    Afflalo/Williams
    Batum/Deng/Young/Brown
    Randle/Nance
    Nene/Hibbert
--We could look to move Young and/or Williams here.

    or
    Russell/Clarkson
    Afflalo/Williams
    Deng/Budinger/Young
    Randle/Nance
    Whiteside/Hibbert

It should be the Thunder. He'd be a great fit and would give them the third scoring option they desperately have been searching for. They tried to make Ibaka that guy, but he just isn't.

Definitely. When I heard he was being released the first team I thought of was the Thunder. GS wouldn't do it unless Klay went down or something. San Antonio probably the same. They're such well oiled machines at this point, they probably wouldn't want to add anyone unless they have an injury. The Thunder could REALLY use him and their offense is so basic, Joe could come in and do what Waiters does. And Joe is pretty clutch too.

Looks like he's heading to the HEAT...which I don't really understand. He would get more PT in Cleveland and he would have a better chance of winning it all....

Really hope Kevin Martin doesn't go to the Cavs. I would have rather had Johnson go to Cavs than have Martin potentially.

It's early to have FA plans set in stone but at this point I'm hoping for 1 major addition, KD/Whiteside/Horford. Then a nice lower tier FA bargain or atleast not max, someone like OJ Mayo/Ryan Anderson/Noah. Keep Clarkson. Bring in Biyombo as the shotblocker next to Randle if we don't land a Whiteside/Horford. I'd love the irony if KG comes & Dwight takes less money to come win here. Kobe being here was pretty high on his list of reasons to bail.

Houston fans think howard firing his agent means he's staying there. and taking a paycut. so they can also sign Durant or horford. so there's that.

Houston fans also think Harden is as good as Kobe was.

I can't see Durant going to play with Dwight.

If he's the best big that wants to come win with KD, I'd still take him over guys like Hibbert or Noah(unless Noah helps us get Thibs). Obviously not my first choice but not a worst case scenario imo.

Gasol is averaging 18.5, 11.3, and 6.0 assists in February, on 47% FGs and 56% TS. He has at least one 3x2 (might've done it another time; can't recall) in those 11 games. Just sayin'.

I'm offering a max to Whiteside. Yeah, a max. Plus, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and all that crap.

I'm thinking that if we add him, we need to add a three-point shooter. Preferably a defender who can run the court (or at least one of these).

Honestly, adding Whiteside, Deng, and Afflalo would go a long way toward making this team respectable. Yes, we'd still need some help down low. If we could re-sign Black, that would help.

    Russell/Clarkson
    Afflalo/Williams
    Deng/Young
    Randle/Nance
    Whiteside/Black
