We're lucky to have @trodgers and all his statistical insight here.

Great job breaking down the numbers.

I think I would do just the pick for Okafor....the risk makes sense. We can't afford to lose this pick and there's still a high chance that it falls to 4th or 5th right now. I think it makes all the sense in the world for Philly as they'll guaranteed get the pick, and it'll allow them to balance their roster out more (and heck, they could end up with Ben Simmons AND Ingram).

I'd give away the protection and Nance on the pick for Okafor.

Shhhhhhh! He should be a cap and analytics guru for an NBA team. Keep praising him and he's gonna leave us.... or start charging a fee.

I just personally think its clear that Randle will be the better player IMO so I would never trade him for Okafor.

I'm actually surprised more of you don't agree. His bad week (off the court) is his only knock. How many of us wanted him over DAR? But we don't want him over Randle? Like I said, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I like Randle just as much as I like Russell... maybe more sometimes.

So at least I'm consistent. :D

That's not his only knock. Sure, his PPG look good and is one elite skill (postgame); outside of that, I'd steer clear from him. In short, I don't think he's going to help you win more games than Randle, and I think Randle has more upside and his game fits more the 'modern' way the league is trending. Just my .002 cents, though.

Personally I feel like the league is trending towards bigs like Randle, not Okafor. Versatile bigs, and if Randle can fix that jumper he's a handful. I feel like you can win in this league with a serviceable center, but you need star guards and forwards, that's why I wouldn't do Randle for Okafor. Plus we might be able to just sign Okafor in a few years if we still want him. I dunno, Randle could not work out, still be tradeable, could work out and be worth more, I need to see more of him and under a real coach.

I would NOT give up Randle or Russell for Okafor. I would give up that pick from this year though simply cuz it's technically not ours yet...

Only way I give up Randle for Okafor is if we get our pick back too. The kid can score but Randle is a better all around player with more potential on defense & the boards. Okafor splitting time at C next to Randle & PF next to Roy/Black would be interesting though. Our frontcourt is missing that explosive scorer. I'd give up Nance or our top 3 protection for Okafor.

Remember you from CL. I actually stole your LakersN4 name for various emails I use.

But are those guys happy here? If I were Bass, I'd ask for a way out. Maybe not for Roy... I'm not convinced anyone would pick him up at this point.
