Stupidity. Rankings will always be subjective. But for Kobe to be outside of the top ten of all time is asinine.
It does seem silly. I don't really give a crap about their rankings or attempt to create traffic through their long drawn out release of their list treating it like it has any merit. I can look when it's all done and tell them they are stupid just as easily, but more efficiently. That being said, depending on what you put greatest value on, you can skew stats to tell almost any story you want, or to back up any argument you make. However, in spite of their best efforts, they can't put him lower than 12 lol. Go Kobe! Eventually I'll look at who these other 11 are and quite possibly snicker at those who sell their soul or are completely unqualified for their job.
No one should give a s*** about espn's ranking of kobe, or anyone's ranking of kobe. It's all opinions man, everyone has one.
I find it interesting because you'd think everyone would be happy that he's on his way out. But they wanting to continue disrespecting the man until his locker is clean and the lights go off. It's really sad. The generation after of young basketball fans or aspiring players will never know how great Kobe is because of he wasn't given proper respect as a player and a athlete. Meanwhile I'm seeing people already considering Curry a all time great and what is he like? 12? Just kidding, but you get the picture. It's just not right.
I get why ESPN does it but ranking Kobe 12th is just straight up disrespectful. The other media outlets should be blasting them for it. I have Kobe as a top 5. Even if you hate him, you would have to put him in your top 10.
Poor percentage tonight, but man, was he bringing it when it counted. Explosion in the third quarter. Rad to see him hit threes with Leonard draped all over him. Amazing. We almost had that one tonight. I thought we were going to get run out of town. Instead we almost pulled the gigantic upset. Kobe's energy was huge in our push.
It sure was, Spurs have always had my respect because they understand greatness themselves and are quick to congratulate and give people their due, such as Kobe. I'm sure Kobe and Pop will share some more time together during the all-star break.
Yes it was ^^^ just came in here to say the same thing. Excellent tribute. And I'm sure Pop's words at the end really meant a lot to Kobe. Well done San Antonio.
I appreciate that they showed some moments from Kobe there against their own team, that possibly cost them titles. Like the Kobe reach back rebound and immediate bounce back up layup, that play was huge.
Kobe needs 24 points to become the highest scoring player in the NBA during their 20th season. He already leads the list in assists. He needs 5 steals to take the top spot, too.
