Yeah that's kind of a weird fit to me, but Horford can stretch the floor a little bit. I'm guessing they'd just take the talent if they can get it. Outside of Drummond, they're not overly talented.

They'll probably want Horford as a stretch 4, while he can do that, I think that's a waste of his talents and taking possessions away from a still growing Drummond. If anything I say they go after Ryan Anderson to replace Ilyasova or strengthen their guard rotation.

ok, I will tell it: I would trade folks for blake griffin. the clips' clock is ticking. they need to win soon, and it ain't happening with that roster. they're supposedly shopping biff. I'd be willing to part with a non-Russell piece for him. roy's huge expiring is useful here. griffin's injury plays into both the tank and showtime revival. I'm talking myself into it.

How dare you! :). I like Griffin's game. I think the Clippers can get better offers for him in the offseason, though. This is where keeping our pick would help. You could have moved the pick and a prospect for Blake. He's only 26. You'd get a top 10 player and have the flexibility financially to improve the roster.

Tell them your idea they said
    They'll understand they said.

"They" were wrong. Tell the voices in your head to be quiet, and let's pretend this little conversation never happened.

    :Shaqwink:

On a serious side, he's a talented player. I don't like flopping, Kia commercials, fake tough guys, or the perception that he's a wuss around the league. Besides suffering from the Clipper curse, not sure I want that influence during a rebuild....

And before you say Lamar Odom....think about the fact that the curse isn't limited to playing days.... Signed, Elgin B

I think I saw the Denver rumor/speculation, and I was thinking: faried/gallo...you're telling me that roy/Clarkson/randle wouldn't be competitive with that offer? throw in swaggy, maybe eat Stephenson's deal...

it feels dirty, but right now, this is the opportunistic kind of trade that a bottom dweller like our team could use to get relevant again.

I dislike Griffin immensely. I would not like him on our team. I think Randle does Griffin-lite stuff for us already and he comes with less baggage. I'm not sure Griffin is the kind of guy you get in order to draw other people to the franchise either...

But he's pretty talented. If I didn't have to part with too much, it'd be a mistake not to consider it.

I think current griffin is randle's ideal ceiling. so that's why I make the move. as rrofy said, I'm not sure the lakers can beat other win-now offers for him, but I'd at least throw my hat in the ring. if I could root for karl Malone, I could find a way to pull for biff.

I'd hate to part with Clarkson and Randle. Roy is a shell of himself and Nick is a bad basketball player. They'd be banking on the upside of Clarkson/Randle, and while I think their future is bright, I don't think that would be enough for the Clippers to pull the trigger.

That's not your question, though. Is it competitive with their offer? Possibly, if you had a pick to throw in...

roy's expiring, and young's better than lance Stephenson. that's my angle. they could beat the offer on the market, though, I'm guessing. but remember that whomever takes griffin has to deal with the injury recovery time this year, so it shrinks the pool.

anyway, an allstar is supposedly in play. mitch should do his due diligence here.

Yeah, he's out 4-6 weeks. Clipper or not, Blake is a heck of a player...I'd gauge and see what the Clippers want, too

Well the Clippers wouldn't do it anyway for the same reason that the Kings won't give us Cousins.

Besides, if I'm the Clippers I'd rather have the Nuggets package of Faried, Gallinari, and Barton (with a pick even maybe). That deal isn't necessarily in play, but Bill Simmons brought it up and I think it makes great sense for both teams.

I wouldn't give up Clarkson AND Randle. I might part with one or the other along with Roy and Lou or something of that nature.

I'll give my in depth analysis on this: F*** Blake Griffin. Moron is paid millions to play a game that requires a healthy body, and he punched a staff member and broke his hand. Jacka** is dumber than even Cousins. I'd rather suck for a decade than root for Blake Griffin, same as with Dwight Howard, I don't want to win at any and all costs.

I agree that Whiteside does have holes.

However, I don't see the Dragic/Lin situation last offseason quite the same as Whiteside/Hibbert. Hibbert can block shots, but that's about it. Whiteside, despite his faults, is a huge upgrade over Roy. And we're already paying Roy $15 million.

If we can trade for a big with a pick (assuming we don't draft Simmons) then I can live with that.

    Whiteside, from Rotoworld:

Hassan Whiteside put up his third triple-double with blocks of the season during a 98-95 win over the Hornets on Friday, finishing with 10 points, 10 boards and 10 blocks in 27 minutes.

"I'm different, simple as that," Whiteside said. Yes, he is. He's the only player to record multiple triple-doubles with blocks off the bench in his career, and he's had four trip-dubs with blocks in his career while nobody else in the NBA has any in the last three seasons. It's safe to say Whiteside is healthy.

I wouldn't trade Griffin unless I can get a Millsap/Thabo package back if I were the Clips ... maybe for Melo ( would make sense for both teams).

Millsap or Melo at the 4 would be fine next to DJ ... Faried or Randle aren't the current answer for them , they would get some nice pieces in the suggested trades but not the ones which answer their bigger need .

No to Blake.. Period.. He's one of the biggest reason that team underachieves..
When one of your team leaders if a flopping douchebag, you're never going to get over the hump..

    No Thanks..
