You guys don't need to worry about wins. I asked quite a while back when we won like 3 games in 4 or 5 or something, or we played way better in 4 or 5 in a row, if we needed to worry about improving and B0ron getting credit. Never happened, we reverted immediately. We freakin suck. We have one very good (or at least impressive in some way) game reaaaaally rarely and 3 of them have been against the Wolves. One was game 1 before we choked. One was game 2 when we made a huge comeback and Russ was awesome, and the last was a close win after losing a big lead against them yet again. Again, we suck, and we will go back to sucking. I don't know if we will end up worst, or 2nd worst, but it will be one of the 2 only.

Fun win tonight. Sorry tankers, I enjoyed this one. Good game. Seriously though, I think we'll lose the rest this month. Pelicans were down two starters.

The team Anthony Davis has around him right now makes that 2005 Lakers squad around Kobe look like the dream team.

So... I'm not a big tanker and I know I was very blase about the last win... this one I'm not as big on. However, this is probably the last game we win in a while. If we win the next one or the one after, I might start to get worried.

In order to win we've needed throwback Kobe and how long can he realistically do this?

Still not worried about wins. We beat a team we have already beaten once, we seem to only do well against a few teams, and this is one. After the Pelicans, things get real, and like you said, it took vintage Kobe (and very good games from multiple other Lakers) to barely beat that team by 3 points. We still suck.

I want the young guys to get a taste of winning. I'm completely anti tank.

I just want B0ron fired and disgraced as the worst Lakers coach of all time. I can't actively root for losses while watching games, I don't have it in me to root against our guys, so I've stopped watching live games. I've only watched the replays of games if we win, or Kobe has a vintage performance, or Russ has a big game or something. I can't root for losses while watching, and I'm not rooting for the tank, but I want us to not do well enough for B0ron to be kept on, he MUST go.

I think we all agree that Boron should be dropped off at a desert island somewhere.

I still try to watch every game, even with the horror show of our coach and the beyond terrible job he's doing. I can't help it because I like watching the young guys even if he is stunting their development. At least Julius is back in the starting lineup although it took an injury to Nance for it to happen. I'm irate that Russell isn't back with the starters, but at least I get to watch Julius for more than 20 minutes a game like before. That's it. Like Weezy, I can't root against us when I watch. I did stop watching the final season with D' Antoni because I didn't enjoy watching the roster we had left at that point as well as hating him and hoping for losses so we could keep the pick. If we don't get this pick it's not the end of the world to me.

Yeah, agreed about the pick, forgot to add that. I want the pick for suffering through this, but if we don't get it we shouldn't have tanked then. If we don't get it the FO only have themselves to blame for allowing B0ron to stay, for screwing with Russ and Randle like he has, and for stunting any of their development or of the franchise as a whole. They lose the pick, well then they deserved to lose it for trying to go the 76ers strategy route. I'm not rooting for tanking, I've only stated the obvious that we will lose because we suck and that I want B0ron to look as bad as he is.

Even if I understand tanking and have accepted it's what we're doing, I don't like it.

I can't help smiling when we win games. It feels right.

I love how ESPN is celebrating and praising Kobe all morning today. They made fun of him to start the season, they've tried to knock him down for years, they rank him 12th all time, and now only on his way out do they start to give him any credit. All this celebration of him, calling this "Kobe's weekend", interviewing all these players about him, feels so disingenuous. ESPN is so fake, f*** them.

Jeff Katz of ESPNLA run's the ESPN LA group on the PS4 and wrote this this morning.
"Lakers need to clean house. Mitch included. How do you not move Bass, Lou, etc for assets??? Time for a change. Dumars-ian situation."

Do what you will with that info.

I disagree. Lou and Bass are assets and on friendly deals. Bass probably not re-upping though after what Boron's done with him this year.

I was reminded last night as well that Mitch has gone through the unfathomable personal loss of his 15 year old daughter this year and kept on going. No way should the club treat him like that.

Bass I can understand definitely, but his contract is tricky since he has a player option next season. Not to mention, from what everyone said there were plenty of teams willing to play ball with the Lakers FO but they were adamant about protecting their cap space.

Not to mention, Lou is a great asset. I don't think he should be dumped.

Katz is a peon that occasionally works on 710 and the more I hear of him the more I dislike him.
