haha it really was the best case scenario. kobe played well and the lakers got a much needed L. only thing better could have been a game winner. but hey he didnt play much of the 3rd or any of the 4th. i think there is a good shot he plays on tues. i will def be rooting for you! for all those debating whether to see him one last time, if you can make it happen, do it. something ill remember the rest of my life
Yea he really looked good out there honestly.. with all the games he's taken off anyone would be rusty but he put together a great effort. It's clear he's just never going to return to NBA shape, he probably needs another 2-3 games off now.. damn achilles really cut his twilight years short, dude was still a boss before that happened.
Hmm, I guess I'll have to stop my boycott and watch the replay of this game to see a vintage Kobe performance. LTLakerFan picked a fantastic night to go to a game to see Kobe.
Mamba killin it from 3 the last couple games. Hopefully he has a few more games similar to this before its over.
Again, more important than Kobe this was a message to prospective SF free agents. A good SF can take games like this and look at them in a capsule. If they came here THAT is what it would look like almost every night. Dynamic, fast, strong, athletic. This team can be a lot of good things and if we had a young SF star like Durant or Derozan or maybe Barnes if he takes the next step, then we'd have a stronger team than we've seen thus far. Good for Kobe for having this kind of game again. I thought at times he was making the wrong decisions and taking shots he should have passed out of, but he was clearly feeling it last night. Also kudos to Wiggins for battling with him. That was fun to watch.
Vintage mode activated! I wasn't sure I'd see another one of those, and it was so cool to do so. Wish I had been at the Staples for that one. We needed it to pull out the win.
Great game for Kobe and a fun game to watch. Hope he has a few more vintage games left before the end of the season.
OK ^^ these open on my Mac Monitor, after reducing them to 1080 vertical resolution for LB here. Were shot from Sammy Note 4. However just went to same phone (2650x1440) and only see "IMG" for each. Do I need to make the vertical resolution some other lesser number so phones can open them, am guessing?
It's weird during the game I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Imagine if you add Horford in at center next to whichever sf chooses to come here? All of a sudden, the team looks really solid. Still not solid enough to lure a player like Durant, but if Durant does a one and one deal (which I honestly think he will) Luke Walton coaching Russell, Randle and Clarkson for a full season, picking up a solid center in free agency this offseason, maybe trading our pick and Lou Williams for another solid veteran...all of a sudden Westbrook and Durant have to give the Lakers a real look.
