I guess Kobe isn't the only one with a limit out there. I'm picturing B0ron looking at his watch or something now and pulling guys when they're AT THE LIMIT.

Realdeal, you should include how many times Tarik Black has played over 5 minutes a game. Gonna be very low.

I don't know what it is about today; maybe it's the 81 point game and I'm suffering from nostalgia, maybe it's me thinking that it's one of the last times Kobe will lace them up, and I'll never see him again. Maybe it's me really missing Jerry Buss today for some strange reason. Maybe it's the season that we're having; how I know and almost selfishly want Kobe to turn back the clock 10 years and carry this franchise through this period of uncertainty or want Jerry Buss to walk through this doors, and I confidently know that he's in charge and everything will be alright.

I don't know what direction this franchise is headed right now. I know we have some very good young pieces, but for the first time in my lifetime, there's not one transcendent player on this team that will carry us forward or carrying the torch. I trust Mitch. I don't trust the ownership. Their griping, childlike behavior towards each other and constant backstabbing through the media doesn't endear themselves to free agents or to the fans. I don't know exact what the future holds, and I don't know how to feel about that right now.

Well, I'll be listening to this Lakers game tonight. We'll probably be getting blown out (LA is out) so maybe that gives us a chance albeit a very minimal one. Chances are we'll get blown out by 20 again. Either way, just feeling a certain way and wanted to vent...

I dunno, maybe it's too far to say this, but I think '05/'06 could carry this roster to the playoffs. If he could take those 2006 and 2007 teams of scrubs there in a tougher West, I have to think he could take this team with more talent there in a West where the bottom playoff spots are under .500 teams.

05/06 Kobe? That man would make this a 6th seed probably. This team today has more talent by a wide margin than the team he had then.

The only problem is Phil out- Byron in. So... Maybe more like 8th seed still...

So we've lost 9 of our last 10. I don't even know how many are blowouts, but sure, that's ok, no harm done. The Cavs are #1 in the East and they fire their coach, ok, that's nice. This comic reminds me of the FO right now

I've been a Lakers fan for almost my entire life, I've never cared less than I have this season. I used to care so much about missing games, heck, I planned my days around Laker games. But this season, I don't care anymore, Lakers are playing? Nah I'll go catch a movie or catch up with some people. I've slowly even stopped watching the highlight videos.

There's an argument that maybe I care too much but man it's hard to back the garbage the FO puts out on the court every night.

I was kind of like that last season. We had so many guys out and there was such a lack of talent or excitement on the team that I just found it hard to watch too many games. This season I was expecting with a much more talented team that wouldn't happen. Well it's happening again. Thanks Byron you douchebag.

The only way to force the Lakers' hand is to stop paying attention. Stop buying merchandise, jerseys, and tickets to games.

Most importantly their ratings need to continue to drop. Once they realize they're irrelevant, changes will happen. I'm hoping it happens quickly. It might not happen until next season when the shadow of Kobe is gone. Without Kobe they're not selling jerseys and they're not selling merchandise. Their ratings are dependent on people who are tuning in to see Kobe's last games. Without him how are those ratings going to do?

Once they see they're the new Clippers, I think we'll start to see some changes.

If they can't see in now, we're screwed. Everyone with half a brain knows, that Kobe is the only thing keeping this ship afloat. Do something now, don't wait for the numbers to tell you, you're in deep s***.

I agree. Part of me hopes they're so incompetent they CAN'T see it and that forces MAJOR changes to the Front Office. I have completely lost faith in the Buss kids and I'm starting to be skeptical of Mitch as well. At this point the entire decision making team needs to be questioned. Half way through the year and we're on pace for the worst record ever in Laker history, we're not playing the young players, and we employ the worst head coach in basketball. We look like fools.

We're better at losing than the spurs are at winning.

I've reached my breaking point, I'm done. Hearing Twan and Worthy defend poor ol' B0ron last night, seeing RandleROFY bring up Mason and Ireland saying there's a faction in the FO that thinks he hasn't gotten a fair shot, being blown out game after game after game, I'm done. It wouldn't be so bad if Russ, JC, and Randle all started, played a lot of minutes and were being developed, and if Black was getting to play backup C, but they are not and he is not. And having to suffer through Kelly and Bass together again, an experiment that failed months ago, our coach is the definition of incompetence. I'm not putting up with it anymore, and I'm not watching the games. If Kobe gets hurt and goes down for good, I'll watch the replay of his final game and I'll remember the good times. I will no longer put up with B0ron not being fired and the FO using Kobe to make money and pretend like things are ok, and I am one little ratings blip they will no longer get.
