0-5 and looking like we could possibly set a new record for losses since the team moved to LA. Our only hope to avoid that is avoiding more injury, and injured players like Young returning and giving us a boost.

Wes is just worthless out there. That's my WMC. Even though Booz sucked he made up for it a little in the third, and he didn't play the fourth so I can't blame him for the end of the game.

Ryan's hamstring tightened, Kobe played too many minutes, our offensive sucks, can't stop anybody on defense; Boozer and Wes are trash...

It's sad that Wes sucks this bad. I'm hoping that Young returning and hopefully Henry getting back at some point, will mean less Wes.

Currently listening to Mason & Ireland and they brought up a good point about the way we present the games to fans. We know that this is going to be a long year(s) while we build back up to a contender. They said that the Lakers should be about progression, and being cutting edge. They brought up the fact that we have used the same introductions with the curtains for the past decade or so. They brought up the fact that people are getting pretty tired of it, and I do agree. It's something that doesn't really matter to how the team plays, but as a fan, I do get tired of the same curtains introduction. I've seen it for YEARS. I think a change to player intros would be pretty cool. I've had this opinion for a few years already, and when I bring it up, I get mixed reactions. I know Lawrence Tanter has been the Lakers PA for YEARS. He is pretty much the sound of Laker home games. But I am REAL tired of the monotone voice at every home game. I get it, he has been with the organization since showtime and he is a staple at home games. But in my opinion, he's real boring, and to be honest, he wouldn't get me hyped up at all. Just a piece of my mind.

They also brought up the fact that the music we play at games are super old. As fans, we can take "I've Got a Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas for only so long before it drives us up the wall.

    I was being facetious.

I don't have any opinion either way, but Tanter has been around forever. The Lakers simply don't ask people to leave so I very much doubt they'd move on from Tanter until he gave it up himself. I'm fine with it. You can change up the routine without getting rid of anybody.

You want LT to go? That is like saying Vin needs to go because he tells to many stories for the boys in blue. I shouldn't be surprised since we have an actual discussion about trading Kobe for a box of skittles.

I agree with the general theme of this post, especially with respect to the curtain intro which used to be one of my favorite parts of the in-stadium experience but has now gotten so tired and lame that I usually use it as an opportunity to get another beer (the same evolution has happened with previews at the movie theaters). But I couldn't disagree more with respect to Lawrence Tanter. Next time the Lakers are playing on the road, listen closely for the obnoxious PA guy at whatever godforsaken arena the Lakers are playing in and really ask yourself if you want to be subjected to that for an additional 41 games a year. Have you ever heard the guys in Detroit or Cleveland? "Deeeeeeeetrooooooit baaaaaasketbaaaaaaal!!!!!" I'd honestly put the games on mute and listen to jazz music if we had someone like that. LT stays. Period.

(As an aside, if we really want to start getting rid of boring and useless relics, maybe we should re-think this whole John Ireland thing...)

We should utilize that hologram technology they had at whatever musicfest that was that had Tupac on stage.

We should have holograms of great old Laker moments on the court. So there'd be a hologram Kobe hitting the game-winner against Phoenix. A hologram Pau hitting that shot over two C bag defenders near the rim. A hologram Magic with the baby hook in the lane. A hologram Kareem with the skyhook game winner in Magic's first Laker game. A hologram Kobe lobbing to Shaq. Then finish with a hologram Chick making the first call of the game.

Oh man I just gave myself the chills.

Lawrence Tanter stays, the curtain intro can go. It was awesome when we first used it but it's pretty boring now.
