I think Kareem is probably the greatest ever, but Jordan and Kobe and Magic are all up there with him. Those guys were/are special types of players. Definitely a nice gesture by Jordan. It's so him (and Kobe) to a) not be there and b) make it up on the spot. Great to see those two respect each other so much though. I'd love to see a commercial where those two joke about their accomplishments and then have one of the young kids (Curry works) come in and tell him he'll top them. There's your NBA Lives Here commercial, NBA. You're welcome.
I was waiting for the "he was nice and then he hit like 5 shots in my face and said I still needed more work."
The million dollar question. Was it because Boron is a complete imbecile or was it in order to lose the game on purpose? Because he sure wasn't going to miraculously shoot better (was about 30% through the game at that point) after icing his shoulder down.
You really need to ask why when the coach is Byron Scott? To try to win the game, Silly. After pissing away that chance by not keeping the young guys in it who were keeping it within range.
Wow that gift is classy, good on Boston for that one. As for Kobe tonight, it's clear the shoulder is hurting as he keeps rubbing it and icing it, but he fought through. Fought for boards, fought to get to the hoop, and hit a dagger 3 from deeeep, like old times. What a way to finish in the Garden, breaking their hearts one last time. This one was a little emotional for me in the end, I'm gonna miss this man when it's over.
It's a song from the 90s. They were playing it one game this year for Kobe on tv, and I found it hilarious.
