No one can prepare for the offense we throw out there, the rotations, the defense, nothing. You can't prepare for something that doesn't exist.....

That's saying something. I'd wager 90% of college offenses involve passing the ball around the perimeter for 25 seconds, then last 10 seconds actually get something going.

I know the standings don't mean much in December, but the #3 team in the west (OKC) is 11-8. I believe we missed a golden opportunity this year, with a lot of teams being down.

We as fans are to blame for this as well. Kobe announces his retirement and the fans FLOCK to buy tickets to see this dog s*** product because...memories? So we can tell someone we saw Kobe during his last year? There is NO WAY the front office fires Byron if he is playing the "type of ball" that sells out Staples Center. All the Laker fans that continue to worship and adore Kobe have put us in this position. The idiots that call in to the post game show saying, "Kobe needs help out there! He's can't do it on his own. The rest of the team sucks. Kobe would be shooting 60% if he had better teammates." Those f---tards are just as much to blame as the front office because they almost force the front office to put the Byron/Kobe tandem out there every night. The blame can't fall squarely on the front office.

I agree with you that the money is not worth the product. Unfortunately, it's their money and they can choose what to do with it. My friend is the same way "gotta go, it's Kobe's farewell year" blah blah blah. I tried to tell him to save his money but he's pretty determined to go so whatever.

I don't see how the fans are to blame. I'm going to see the Lakers game in San Antonio like I do every season whether that be one or two meetings. I don't see what's wrong with wanting to see Kobe play one or two more times. Yeah he's a shell of himself and I wish he'd change his playing style, but there's also an appreciation factor for him and rightfully so. The fans have every right to show that appreciation for him one final time. Doesn't mean we like seeing the garbage we're seeing, but I'm not gonna sit here and blame fans. That's ridiculous. The fans ain't the ones making the decisions.

The front office deserves all the blame. They put themselves in this rut. They've made terrible hire after terrible hire. Fans wanting to see Kobe this season doesn't absolve them of responsibility for continuing to support Byron who is without a doubt the worst coach in basketball right now. Then you look at some of the personnel decisions. Giving Kobe that max extension after he tore his Achilles. Trading Lamar for nothing. Putting all their eggs in the get a max FA basket and not getting anyone else that could really help. Trading all the picks for Nash. List goes on and on.

When asked by John Ireland what the Lakers can do to fix this whole coming out and getting down big early thing, D'angelo responded "Uh I dunno."

Thanks "head coach" Byron Scott for preparing our guys so well.

How much longer is John Ireland going to ask our players about Kobe getting cheers in his postgame interviews? After ugly losses no less.

If I was a player, I'd be like "Look we all love Kobe, but I'm done answering that question"

Probably as long as it takes for one or anyone associated with the Lakers to find a backbone.

I didn't think we would win a lot of games this year but I did think the team would be fun to watch. This is just terrible. No offense being run. No in game adjustments. Bass playing center. WTH. I don't know how much more of this crap I can watch. It's just so disheartening.

    My WMC?

I missed this game for something else, and I was thankful?!?!?!

How far we have fallen when I look at a box score and am thankful I didn't have to watch. It just ain't right in Laker Land these days.

Yeah I mean it's a good way for "pro-tankers" to get an idea of how likely it is we lose that pick.

I'm just familiarizing myself with the names so I know who I do and don't want. So far Simmons is pretty much the only kid I'd bet the farm on. The rest seem okay or like projects that might work out eventually. I'm unimpressed so far with Labissiere. Bender is easy to forget because we're not watching him play right now. The SFs look alright, but I might prefer just going out and getting one instead.

More and more I think if we get #2 or #3 it's going to be moved on draft night. I wouldn't rule out #1 either, but Simmons seems like a "cant-miss" prospect.
