The threes are just total percentage killers. They also lead to long rebounds and run outs by the opposition when he misses them. He desperately needs to cut those down.

He'll continue to take them because he can't get his bread and butter shots off anymore. The defense knows he can't shoot them so they sag off. To Kobe, an open 3 is better than no shot at all....or someone else shooting a high percentage shot for that matter.

For the record Kobe is shooting 44.2 percent on 2's. Not exactly great, but not amongst the worst shooting percentage in NBA history either.

FWIW, here are the only guys with 10+ FGA shooting worse than Kobe ON TWOS (not overall):

Melo, Ramon Sessions, KG, Hawes, Boogie, Jamal Crawford, Tonly Allen, Marcus Morris, Budinger, Johnny O'Bryant, D-whistle.

He's not going to win us games with that shooting, but if he keeps it in check, he can at least not kill us - and help us win in other ways.

His three point shooting is so horrific that it's lowering his overall average to about 30%. It's just not working.

Almost half of the threes Kobe is shooting ( 3.4 a game out of 7.2) is with a defender within 2-4 feet of him ( 22.6 3FG%)... but he sucks at it even if he's open (18.2%) or wide open ( 27.3%)

They have always been complementary towards Kobe when we have played them. I've also listened to them on a few occassions when the raptors weren't playing the Lakers. Good announcing group overall. I will say this though....anyone who drops 81 on your team by themselves you should get there good graces.

Kobe was great for the team when he was on the floor. He was constantly talking, pointing, coaching and getting everyone on the same page. It was great to watch.

Kobe played about as smart as Byron coached this game.

Says one thing, does it one game and then it's back to this same crap. Quit shooting so much, no one wants to see these ISO bricks. Him and Byron continually impeding the progress of the young guys with their refusal to take a back frickin' seat.

I'd like them both to retire before the next game. Harsh and in the wake of another loss, but I feel that way.

He's really going to be a 30% shooter now? Well that really sucks. Especially if he's going to shoot more than anyone....

Kobe has to dial back his shots. Give at least 5 of his shots to JC.

    6 for 22. 6 FOR 22! 6 FOR 22!!!

He's jacking up over 7 threes a game on average and making 21% of them. 0-5 for the second game in a row. That is disgusting. Truly shooting without a conscience.

He's not showing his high basketball IQ, I'm beginning to think he doesn't have one. ISO's all over, bricks everything and simply won't stop. If it were the correct approach you could call honorable and wait for better results.. but it's just not and they aren't going to come.

Someone with the miles he has should have plays drawn up specifically for him and he should be in his sweet spots on the floor.. waiting for a pass. He shouldn't be using the majority of the clock and trying to create when fully covered at his age and mileage. When they do run a play HE has to orchestrate it.. he simply isn't capable of learning off the ball offense. A simple catch and shoot (when open and not 40ft away) or quickly go into a post move, but nope it's not in his arsenal.

His passing in the lane is incredible and completely underutilized.. makes me furious. He should be within 10ft of the rim working those sick pump fakes and finding these young talented guys cutting to the rim. I can think of once or twice all season he's done it.

A competent coach would be able to keep Kobe playing efficiently this season.

An offensive scheme/plays that puts him in the post where he's been his best all season.
Russell creating open shots for Kobe.
Keeping his mins in check. 7 mins each quarter?
A defensive scheme that hides Kobe defensively.

Is Kobe's play right now a result of Byron not knowing what to do or Kobe being stubborn and showing he has no BBIQ? I wanna say its all Byron but its probably a combination of it all.
