Maybe Byron's trying to run Kobe into the ground so we can move on finally. I love Kobe and just hate watching him play like this.[/QUOTE]

I wasn't disappointed in Kobe tonight. He's still shooting poorly no doubt but I thought he took better shots tonight at least in the sense that he didn't shoot too many threes. At least he was somewhat involved in facilitating and pull down a few boards. He usually gets to the line or hits a 3 and he would've had 15/5/4.

I'm happy with that from Kobes. Maybe that's blasphemy but as long as he continues to suit up for games and gives us this type of performance I'll be happy, especially if this is the last hurrah.

Normally I would completely agree but Byron has set a new low for coaching. The underachieving of the team is obviously due to his bad rotations and lack of understanding of basic basketball. Coaches all feel they are the ones to turn it around. They could find someone with the courage to take a chance to prove themselves. Without a complete change of coaching philosophy Bryon is not turning this around.

... and i thought our season will be over at the All-Star Game lol. It's already done.
On top of that, our young guys won't learn s*** and Kobe will go down with an injury. Thank you Boron.

It's frightening how few people "get" Byron.

emplay is one of them. Had an irrational exchange with him where he sounded like Byron while defending him. Basically said I wasn't qualified to have an educated opinion as to what was really going on.

    Well alrighty then!

:Laughingcop: Can't trick me buddy. I know crap when I see it. [IMG]

I'm a little curious, how many mins do other starters play together on other teams.

We are in most games at halftime and then half way through the third and half of the fourth he plays the bench that entire time and the lead blows up, and yesterday he let the kids finish the game, surprised he hasn't blamed them for the lost.

Multiple times this season we have seen that the young guys are NOT the major problem on this team, but keep getting blamed by people that can't admit their mistakes (Cough Boron Cough).

A side WMC - I'm getting sick and frickin' tired of hearing this yes man, from Trudell to Pincus to Worthy to Magic, etc. that refuse to say one bad thing about how this roster is being managed. It is very apparent what the major problem is here and none of them have the stones to speak up.

    - Running zone
    - Small ball failures
    - Bench lineup from hell
    - Crapping on the young guys

This list can go on and on of what the coach is NOT doing, but we never hear anything about it. Instead the blame is deflected or he is praised. A top down cleansing of incompetence in the Lakers franchise is needed. I'm just sick and tired of the aura that is surrounding the Lakers name right now.

Wash,Rinse ,Repeat... same crap different game. Boring basketball as well, when Russell hit Clarkson on that ally oop pass for a sweet finish, I replayed it over a couple of times, telling my wife to watch this, it may be their only highlight of the game.It was.I've spent my life learning from my mistakes, Scott apparently feels he has never made a bad decision or mistake.Does anyone have a reason that Black should not be playing? Honestly if Scott is going to run this offense he might as well start Hibbert, Kelly, Kobe, Williams and Metta. The Young guys look terrible in it, no flow, slow to read and react, everything is a short clock force. It's hard to watch, especially after you watch teams like the Warriors, Spurs, Thunder, Cavs, Heat, and even the Mavs or C Bags

The only guy on TWC who has been somewhat critical is Robert Horry, who has criticized Byron's substitutions, especially when it comes to Russell in the 4th quarter.

However, Worthy is starting to open up a little bit. During the postgame report last night, he said that our "defensive scheme" was giving up too many 3's and we should have made adjustments once Toronto started knocking them down. He didn't specifically say Byron was at fault, but any knowledgeable fan would know that those adjustments have to come from the coaching staff. It's small, but noteworthy.

Is it just me or is the front office being really quiet, I remember last year Mitch had a couple of "fans, you guys need to calm down, trust us" press conferences throughout the year. Maybe its still a little too early for that?

The team has an 8-game road trip in early December. If this situation stays the same, changes may be in order once the team returns home.
