Last night Huertas looked surprised at the intensity and intelligence of the Warriors defense. The look on Curry's face was one of, this ain't the Euroleague old man, Welcome to the NBA...

Looked solid while he was in, which wasn't often.

Yeah what happened to the freaking rotation? Jeez. Huertas needs to be in there to run that second unit. It's like 8 pre-season games did nothing to help Byron figure out how to work his rotation.

    #FreeHuertas!

Crappy rotations ..... and no in game adjustments or momentum cooling timeouts when opponent is on a run ..... killed us last night. Along with not reigning Kobe in on his chucking. Step your damn game up Byron.

I honestly forgot he even played. That Byron is so tricky. There is no way to game plan against that man!

He looked good - and he was more aggressively looking for his shot than I would've thought.

I like him. Very solid pickup. The last two games have been tough, but I've really come to respect his game. Very unselfish and a leader out there on the floor...

The few times he's had control of the offense (like he did often in the pre-season) he looked great. The problem is he hasn't had much opportunity once the season started.

Surely you can find more than 11 minutes for Marcelinho, esp with our offense in tatters as it is. What a tragic waste.

Someone please tell me Huertas had some minor boo boo is the reason he didn't get any minutes tonight and freakin' Lou was playing the point when Russel and Clarkson were both out. And not just Byron being Byron?

Hmm....didn't know Byron pulled this....Lou and Young shoudl never be playing 1 and 2 respectively. it should be Clarkson and Lou or Russell and Lou or Clarkson and Young or Russell and Young.

I still think Byron wanted defense, and it actually worked. Huertas is awful at defense, he's slow, gets torn up by opposing guards, and cannot run back on defense and keep up with those guards, allowing transition layups. His chosen method of transition D is to take a foul. I like the guy, and it's not his fault he's old and slow, but I'm ok with trying something new to stop the blowouts. Now play him with Bass/Black or Nance/Black and see if they can help make up for him.

if mwp is going to start getting minutes, i don't know if huertas will see any playing time. i don't think any team goes 11 deep in games except in blowouts.

I feel like not that long ago Lou was supposed to be our backup PG anyway. Huertas was supposed to be insurance, a luxury, don't see why that can't be true if Huertas is a defensive liability. Still, like I said, I'd like to see him with MWP, Nance/Bass, Black though to see if that can help him.

An unfortunate casualty of a more defensive minded rotation tonight. I think he'll get minutes later on in the season, but right now we need some wins and we haven't been winning with him in.

^ Which stinks because I don't think it's his fault at all. In fact when he's in, he's barely even allowed to pick and roll. The one thing he was brought here to do and the one thing he's great at and he doesn't get to use it, so of course he ends up being a net liability.

I'm glad we got the win, but hopefully he gets some more minutes.

He was bad defensively one on one during pre season but I remember him getting into a lot of passing lanes, deflecting a lot of balls. I'd try him out out there with black and nance, with Lou and Nick to see what happens.

Don't understand how this guy can't get some minutes.
