Yes, because the key to being a top defensive team, is to tell your players to play harder. To go out there and just do it. Then, magically, it happens one day.

    Verbal altercation? OK between whom?

Byron and the Lakers? Byron and the refs? Lakers and the refs? Byron and fans? Lakers and fans?

    What's the scope here.

^ If that's it then its not much, they'll be fine. Hibbert, I feel, is like the big brother trying to keep everyone sane.

Yes Byron, keep telling your players to play hard. I agree that intensity and effort is part of the game but if there is no system in place, effort will only take you so far.

How much do we have to lose before Bass, Lou and Hibbert lose interest? The team looked [more] promising before the season started....don't think anyone expected us to be THIS bad. They came with the hope of at least attempting to fight for that 8th/9th seed and the season has started off as bad as was possible.

I like Bass Lou and Hibs and I want them to not be frustrated with our state of affairs, because I think in 2 years when we are a possibly playoff team, they'd be nice additions to that squad.

Someone has to win this one, and the other team... stays winless. It's going to be bad, no doubt.

I would love to see what Mark Jackson could do with this roster.

Too soon to tell. On PTI they said there was a chance (I hadn't heard this anywhere else) that Kerr could be out til the All Star break. Guess we'll find out what he's made of and that's plenty of time to audition for Scott's job.

In other coaching news, Cuban locked in Rick with a 5 year extension. So much for that pipe dream.

I see him similar to Byron by smarter and somewhat effective. He's a motivator, will get his guys playing hard but not the best X and O guy.

Yeah I agree, but he at least coached Golden State to the playoffs a couple of times. Byron hasn't coached anyone to the playoffs since 2009 I believe it was. Played a big part in the development of Steph and Klay. Obviously he didn't take them to the next level like Kerr did. He's probably not a guy that will take us to the promise land either, but realistically we're probably five years away from doing that unless we can get a big time free agent like Durant or Russell.

Byron's message even gets hold as a motivator.

Anyone else think this season may be a stealth tank job? It's the only thing that would explain Byron's atrocious decision-making. There can be no other reason I can think of.

Yep too soon to tell... I thought he took way too much time to call a timeout when the Clippers made their comeback in the 3rd then should have put the starters back on the floor sooner in the 4th
