He's probably the last person that should be calling out his team on D though lol. I do see him trying to play smart D, but anyone his age is going to get beat off the dribble.

He got beat consistently last night defensively and that was a non-NBA team. He's going to be frustrating at some points. It's a really good thing Hibbert is a beast near the rim otherwise we'd be seeing exactly what we saw last year.

Still, offense looks great. I love that the young kids kind of inspire him to make those nice passes. His rhythm is coming back on his shooting motion (which he seems to have shortened a bit off the ball). I like it. If he stays healthy most of the year, he'll be productive.

Was just curious and looked at something for the heck of it.....

Career average of 36.5 minutes per game, and career scoring average of 25.4 per game.

    24.4/36.5 = .696 Points per minute

    Preseason 4 games:

    18 min, 22 pts
    22 min, 16 pts
    21 min, 13 pts
    12 min, 5 pts

    73 min, 55 pts

    55/73 = .753 Points per minute

Looks to be on track on offense so far in limited minutes. Encouraging to see, and hope it continues.

This is the best Kobe has looked since the achilles.

He looks good. Scott said he would like Kobe to play more free-throw line extended down, but when Kobe has it going in a certain area (3's last game), he's going to milk it for all it's worth. Who can blame him? He's shooting fantastic. Defensively, he'll be a net negative, but I'll live with it this year. The goals are to make sure he has a productive season, helps mentor the young players, and leaves standing on his feet.

Constantly amazed at his staying power in the minds of fans even when there is no news about him. The fact that he's in the news more than Lebron who has just gone to the Finals 4 consecutive times is pretty remarkable. Kudos to the legend that is Kobe Bryant. I really hope he is able to go out on his own terms. Been incredible to watch his entire career.

I had to look up why lol. I guess the accidental dribble between another guy's legs and the score get you up there ha!

IF Artest is on board...he would also cover for 24 who he just loves to death. The young legs of Randle, Clarkson and possibly Russell should be able to stay on the perimeter for the same purpose. Who knows though if 24 gets those juices flowing, he can stiff arm Father Time just enough for defensive stops on his own.

For sure. He's not yet a liability completely because he gives strong effort defensively. My only quip about Kobe: he never helps the helper. When he gets beat he tends to stand there and watch himself get beat instead of closing to another body and continuing to play defense. It's a little annoying, but he's old so I guess that's what you can expect.

^ The only time I'll ever yell at Kobe during a game. After he gets beat he usually goes into zone/safety mode and just hangs out while the other players scramble around.

Byron said he's fine. They said he bumped his calf or knee or something on another players knee, contusion. Byron said after the game he's fine and expects to play Saturday though.

Didn't look bad but if you checked social media afterwards you would have thought he lost a leg or something.
