Good info. I still like her.

In other news, Trump said today "Rubio sweats more than anyone else." LMAO Not only rude, but pretty accurate, which makes it even funnier. I really hope Trump lasts until the end, because his comedy is gold. [just don't win the nomination, because that wouldn't be funny.]

    Trump unveiled his tax system.

No taxes on anyone making $25K or less. No taxes on any couple making $50K or less. This means 73 million homes will pay no taxes. All businesses, big and small, will be taxed at 15%.

EDIT: he's killing the Death Tax (no pun intended). This is a GREAT move. People already paid taxes on it when earning it and want to leave that to family, not the government.

An end to the deferral of taxes on corporate income earned abroad. Corporations will no longer be allowed to defer taxes on income earned abroad, but the foreign tax credit will remain in place because no company should face double taxation.

    Thoughts?

    I'm not impressed.

It's revenue-neutral tax reform. Not tax cuts.

That's actually sounding pretty liberal from what I expected lol

I would need to see how the rest of his plan is laid out to really have an opinion, but not bad from what I understand so far IMO.

Rev / Barns -- I agree with both of you. It's not a tax cut and I don't know any specifics toward lowering our debt (it'll be 20 trillion before Obama leaves office). But I do like his proposed change to the death tax and those making 25/50 not paying taxes. Also a 4 page tax form (at most).

Take every article around this season with a grain of salt because there are agendas, but:

"Tax Group: Trump Tax Plan Would Cost $12 Trillion

Donald Trump: My tax plan 'will be a rocket ship for the economy' 5:20
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump's tax plan would cost an eye-popping $12 trillion over 10 years, according a new estimate that runs directly counter to the billionaire's pledge not to increase the deficit with the proposal.

The conservative Tax Foundation, which has been scoring candidates' tax proposals throughout the race, found that Trump's changes to the individual tax code would add $10.2 trillion to the deficit using traditional scoring methods, his corporate tax cuts would add $1.54 trillion and his proposal to eliminate the estate tax would add another $238 billion.

In addition, the gains from the cuts would disproportionately benefit ultra-wealthy Americans like Trump, whose personal income, business earnings and inheritors all stand to gain from a number of its provisions. According to the analysis, the wealthiest 1% of Americans would see their after-tax incomes increase by 21.6% versus just 1.4% for the poorest 10%.

RELATED: Trump defends tax plan: 'This will be a rocket ship for the economy'

For perspective, the same group pegged the cost of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's tax plan at $3.66 trillion, Sen. Marco Rubio's at over $4 trillion and Sen. Rand Paul's flat tax proposal at roughly $3 trillion.

The analysis acknowledged that details of Trump's plan were still vague, requiring them to make some approximate guesses, but added that the overall size was largely driven by the deep cuts in rates. Trump's plan would lower the top tax bracket for wealthier Americans to 25% from 39.5% today and the top corporate tax rate to 15% from 35% today, which it would partially offset with some changes to deductions. Trump has also claimed his plan would add some 31 million households to the substantial number of Americans who pay no money - or gain money through credits - in income tax, bringing the total to 75 million filers.

A white paper by Trump outlining his tax plan on Monday claimed that it "doesn't add to our debt and deficit, which are already too large," a claim thatconservative and progressive economists alike cast doubt on.

Trump, like other Republican candidates, claimed that his plan would offset its cost by encouraging further growth. The Tax Foundation also scored it using a model that assumes supply side conservative theories of economic growth are correct and found it still would add $10.14 trillion to the deficit.

Trump's campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Shortly after the estimate dropped, Bush jabbed Trump on Twitter for the proposal's cost, but also for employing a similar structure to his own reform plan.

"Finally saw Donald's 'tax plan,'" Bush wrote. "Looks familiar! I'm flattered. But he should've stuck with growth & fiscal responsibility."

If Bush gets the nomination, we can all stop voting now, because it's rigged. I don't know one person voting for him.

Today's Trump quote: "To all the Syrians migrating to the US, if I'm elected, I promise you, you're going back."

That's about what I expected from her. I feel voting for Hillary only a little bit better than voting for Trump.

Today, Trump sent Rubio a care package of water, towels, and deodorant. No chill at all.

    Good!

"Latest Poll Shows Support for Sanders Has Quadrupled in the Most Important State
    C. Robert Gibson | October 7, 2015
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton’s numbers are plummeting.

In a new poll of likely Democratic primary voters in California — the most populous and most Democratic-leaning state in the country — Bernie Sanders is surging like never before. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton’s popularity is sinking fast.

While Clinton is still 12 percentage points ahead of the Vermont senator in the latest Field Poll, her approval numbers have dropped to 45 percent since the last poll — a 19 percent drop. Meanwhile, the percentage of California Democrats who prefer Sanders skyrocketed from 9 percent in May to 35 percent today. That’s a 45-point swing in less than six months.

These latest numbers should be a shock to the Clinton campaign — Hillary won California handily in the 2008 election. 84 year-old retiree Joan Callaway, one of the poll respondents, told the Sacramento Bee that while she would vote for the eventual Democratic nominee regardless of who won the primary, she preferred Sanders.

“I’m waiting for Hillary to come around on a few issues,” Callaway said. “I think she’s a little bit, I don’t know, on the corporate side.”

Clinton’s sinking poll numbers are widely-viewed as a result of her mishandling the scandal surrounding her personal email server, which allegedly contained classified State Department-related emails.

California has long been a solid funding base for both Bill and Hillary Clinton. Last month, the former Secretary of State held a $2700-per-ticket Hollywood fundraiser at the home of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Rob Friedman, bringing in a total of $225,000.

“Clinton’s support has taken a big hit over the past few months,” poll director Mark DiCamillo told the Bee. “She needs to get past [the email scandal] to try to stabilize the situation.”

Bernie Sanders made headlines in August when he drew a crowd of roughly 27,500 supporters to a rally at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. In a contrast to the Clinton family, Sanders raises campaign cash mainly through his website, where his average donation is roughly $40.

Rather than high-rolling celebrities hosting fundraisers at lavish mansions, Sanders’ California fundraisers are smaller crowds of a few hundred. Actress Mimi Kennedy, who hosted a Sanders house party in June, told Politico that the 200 or so in attendance donated a total of $50,000. Sanders broke records recently when announcing $26 million in quarterly campaign donations from 650,000 donors."

Sanders is a tough debater and probably has the most steam going into this debate. He is also very intelligent on his points, so I'm expecting him to win.

Hillary has the lead right now, and I fully expect her to go after Bernie head on, but I don't think she has the depth that Bernie does to really throw him off.

Considering I thought the Republican debate was unequivocally weak from all fronts, I hope the Democratic debate has something worth tuning in for rather than Trump parading around and the other candidates just trying to take jabs at them rather than actually addressing the topics head on. Fiorina was the only one to really do so, but I don't think she has much depth either.
