I like the Williams/Clarkson backcourt. Williams is an underrated facilitator; he could be a scoring threat as well and has the ability to work off the ball. He and Clarkson are a formidable duo back there, IMO. Add in Kobe to the 3; you have 3 creators, facilitators, guys who could shoot, drive and kick, etc...it gives us so much flexibility offensively.

Russell is just too good to keep out of the starting five...

I mean really we have so many guys who fit that description. Any combination of Williams/Kobe/Clarkson/Russell/even Jabari has two guys capable of creating for himself at least.

If i see Sacre as the first big of the bench, i'll puke.
Also... i "like" how Kobe stands in the right hand corner on EVERY single play:giggle:

Well he didn't even shoot or touch the ball in those 5mins. But we don't know what happened before. He said in an interview his shot felt fine.

But that Clarkson/Kobe pick&roll could be something...

    Few quick observations:

Randle's conditioning is really, really good.
Russ is working hard on the defensive end, and his shooting looks OK too.
Kobe is reduced to a placeholder, so that his team can have five guys on the floor.
Say what you want about Swag, but he is one of the best players on the team right now. Plays offense, defense, can hit difficult shots.
    Lou's assist was sweet.
Sacre showing that 5-inch vertical and dominating in the paint. :Sacre:

D'Angelo's most dangerous weapon is going to be that pull-up around the screen.

If Hibbert/Black/Upshaw/Randle can set those solid screens with their big bodies, that'll give him so much space.

It's unfortunate Sacre has such a limited upside and talent level. He plays right, makes the right moves, but up against talent, his deficiencies really shows. In the video he looks good playing maybe at a 80% pace with the team, but as we know, against most starting and 2nd string centers, he just doesn't cut it.

Sacre's a 3rd stringer. A descent one at that. The problem is that he seems to have hit his peak and we have so many other players with upside, his average 3rd string abilities aren't enough to want to keep him before the potential of Upshaw or Nance or any of the other bigs.

Still, he's not a bad player. Just meh

Kobe looks like he is having fun out there. It's been awhile since he's had so many talented players that want to put in the work. He's going to have an easier season with so many other ball handlers, shot creators. No longer do we need Kobe to dribble for 20 secs to try and find someone or toss up a ridiculously hard shot.

First of all, Sacre and Kelly shouldn't be playing. Waste of time and teaching. Sacre has to be spoon fed to matter, and he gets outrebounded by little dudes. And Kelly, did you see that attempted post move and hook, he hit the freaking backboard unintentionally.

On the positive side, Clarkson was houding people on D, and Russell was to a lesser extent as well. Clarkson was also the one making Sacre look decent with nice passes. Oh and that was Young spinning and scoring on Russell at the end, with Russ looking for the travel, pretty funny.

I can see L.A. Times and ESPN headlines now. Kobe upset after Russell and Clarkson freeze him out in practice.

I hope he handles the ball more than that, or he will eventually go bonkers. Kobe with a touch every 4 trips down ain't gonna work. Am sure that's not what was going on here, just concentrating on the young guys.

Did you guys see Clarkson going after the ball with his speed when he was guarding Huertas early in the footage?
