Roo had individual dossiers on CL people, eh? OK... Wow! Crazy... I have an Excel spreadsheet of my music and movie collection but that's it. Every incident and comments is by memory.
I'm sorry to inform our members that the staff has discovered that Bonk is in fact Rooscooter. We have been suspicious of this fact for months and we have been collecting evidence to be 100% sure of this fact before taking action. We would never want to accuse someone of doing something like this unless the evidence was overwhelming. The evidence we've gathered won't be revealed as that would indicate the tools we have at our disposal to discover banned members and deception, but be assured, we don't take an accusation like this lightly. Many of us here mourned Roo's passing, it hit some of us very hard, and so this banishment is not a case covered in the rules, but a situation where the staff decided that we don't want someone deranged enough to fake their own death and then pretend to be there own cousin to continue to post on LB. We even offered Bonkscooter an out where we would not ban his member name and not reveal what he had done to the public, but he chose to violate those conditions, and so he has been banned. -Barnstable

what the hell? well that's the weirdest thing i've heard of in a while. don't even want to know why someone would fake their own death on a message board and then pretend to be their own cousin. especially a guy who was so admired and thought highly of around these parts and back on CL. some people are weird and then there are people like this who are on a whole different level of weird
It's real. It was a strange and frankly horrifying realization the staff came to with extensive research and evidence. We certainly don't make this accusation/statement lightly or with any joy.
I'll be completely honest; the first time I read this is the first time I've been in this thread. So, I went back and read through it, and I didn't even realize that Bonkers even had claimed he was related to Rooscooter; that all came has a surprise to me. Nevertheless, about 2-3 days ago, I was reading a post of his and said to myself, 'he sounds like Rooscooter,' but I didn't think more than 15 seconds into it because I thought Rooscooter was gone. Guess not.
That first "he sounds like Rooscooter" moment was when we all started to suspect something was fishy, but for us, that started months ago
Well, I'm glad you did. Some of you guys knew him a lot better than I did; I was 'lukewaltonsdad' on ClubLakers and while I knew of Rooscooter, I never had much back and forth w/him. I loved some of his commentary on things, but towards the end of Club Lakers, he started getting too pessimistic for me, so I didn't really pay much attention to his posts that were basketball related. Also, quite frankly, as you probably know, I've my had fair share of issues on here, but the staff has always been more than 'fair' to me. I post on another forum and have seen Bonkers on there as well; although, he doesn't do it as much, I never even would have guessed he was Rooscooter on LG. Just strange all over...
i haven't been on here much since the FA stuff ended a month or so ago but i never even realized how much "bonkers" sounded like roo. i guess when someone "dies" you just don't expect them to be faking their own deaths on a message board but hey, i guess that's just what some people like to do glad that guy won't be seen around here anymore
