We will see what happens with Rob.

I can envision a scenario where Iger is kind of the charming guy with connections and media savvy I've been ranting about for years and Rob can be the shark.

Iger will demand complete loyalty though. The media is purposely running his connection with Myers on repeat as well.

Rob will have to, again, show that he can get on board with what the new guys want to do.

just like when walter took over, i'm fine with removing rob--i just want to make sure we know what we're doing. like, if they wanted to bring in bob myers as an interim fixer who would oversee new basketball ops hires, i'd be fine with that. but let's just...do it already.

one issue is that walter allowed rob to basically make the roster for the next couple years, minimum. not sure how new management deals with that.

Yeah. While I have been critical I don’t think Rob is some kind of idiot or whatever. There is some philosophy or strategy at play with the approach he took so I would think how long he (and Jeannie) remain around will depend on how much the new group agrees with that.

He's had a decent to good summer. It's probably a 48-52 win team that gets bounced out of the second. Ideally, they make a run to the WCF. Can't argue with the results if they're there.

What would really help is if Thiero or Carr popped as well, but he's kind of emptied the clip with respect to assets, though.

As always, time will tell. Not overly optimistic as I was with Walter, though.
