Cucamonga agent displaying contract details offer means he using it as leverage for other teams to pony up.

I wish I knew who said it so I could give proper credit but a youTuber said pawns move, real kings stay with their team. Not sure who he might have been referring to...lol.

With Duren and Watson likely hitting the FA, plus a few good and established role players, I wonder how smart it can be to bet on that FA for Kuminga. It seems there will be a few teams with cap space but a lot of players available too.

Kuminga and his agent are having anchor bias (I think the scientific terminology is different, maybe abeer can help). They are basing today's decision on what money they lost before. That is already gone, is not coming back. They can only make a sensible decision by looking at what is the reality now.
He can make around 50m guaranteed right now, on a team that has a proper role for him and will be fighting for championships every year. He will have a ton of visibility too. And he will still be starting his prime when that contract expires and can get another bag by that time.
He would benefit a lot from having a couple years starting every game and playing in a system around Luka that always make teammates look better and be well perceived around the league (DJJ, PJ, Gafford...)

I wonder if another hold down is his team asking for a starting spot promise and we don't want to do that? He will come to start, but JJ is a tough coach and probably doesn't love to give that leverage to a player, which I agree completely with.

On the report, it does seem Kuminga's side trying to pressure other teams to act

    He is good.
When Kerr decided to play him and I think Draymond was injured he averaged like Austin around 23-25 points and if he plays constantly he's not playing like Kuz one game is a new Jordan and in a few days barely makes any shots

P.S. In playoffs vs NBA championship New York he averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal on 57.6% from the field and 30% from three-point range.

Yup- I won’t even be upset if we don’t get him.
I’m not interested in players who have an over inflated view of themselves, especially after these past eight years.
