3 things in life are certain: Death, taxes, and Slick making wild claims, moving the goalposts, and then making condescending statements that you’re not smart enough to understand the arguments that constantly shift.

    Never change, old man.

Come on Thiero can do things Austin can’t dream of. We can’t just sit up here and act like Austin can’t do those things. Adro jumps through the roof. Extremely athletic. Can play defense. Plays both ends. Can run up and down the court. Can get to the basket with power. Can rebound. Handle is improving. If you watched summer league you would’ve seen he was the most exciting player on the court. He’s in his second season. First full season not injured. That’s incredible. That’s an Andrew Bynum jump.

Slick is seeing the potential. Where Austin had his potential as a scorer he was still raw. His handle wasn’t developed. But he got reps. Now Thiero will never have Austin’s Handle and shot we get that.

You need reps. You just don’t get greatness. They both will compliment each other. Kaminga is a wonderful talent. He would make us exceptionally better. I think Thiero is an exceptional talent who would clean up the glass. Play hard defense. And finish at the rim. In our offense starting lineup he would comfortably average 12 -13 points. Based on the touches. He wouldn’t light it up. But looking at the potential when he figures it out there’s a 17 point a game scorer there.

Front office seems like they are fine with figuring it out. And they are waiting on Kaminga.

Cleveland signed Herzonga now they are thinking about Derozan. You can’t sign everybody. Don’t get mad at the Kaminga for trying to get the most Money he could. I would tell my client to do that.

unfortunately for him he doesn’t realize the nba isn’t trying to do that pay players.

we aren’t desperate.Peyton Watson doesn’t have an impact. He’s getting low balled. He’ll probably end up on the Nuggets. And then think of we’ll have Kaminga to the bucks.

btw definite cap circumvention with Jokic cause he just refuses to sign his contract lol.

I think the Lakers are just waiting Kaminga will be forced into a prove it contract. He’ll get the player option and we’ll be done with it.

get me reports. I want to see who shows up to this minicamp in Slovania. That will show me a lot who’s serious. If I was Thiero I’d have my plane ticket booked with tourists activities for him and Luka. Man get on a chemistry with that guy.

as for Ballmer basketball is about perception. Slap on the wrist for the owners but at least send a message that he’s being penalized Ballmer 3 years they would never go for. 1 year they could owners have gotten that. He can go run his new tech venture. And then the million is a nice number. This is all without the smocking gun. Ballmer will still fight it.

Injuries are an important part of the equation? Damn now you get it? That's all I was saying during the Westbrook experiment. You guys had gotten out of control with that Westbrook stuff. Everything was Westbrook's fault.

It rained in La...that's Westbrook's fault too!! Lol..s*** had gotten ridiculous for a minute there.

Tinkerbell did get a pass...half the board was following Abeer with that..." We really can't do much better " jazz..AFTER that epic choke job, even after this clown said " Hey " " Defense really isn't my thing".

You lack reading comprehension skills. I guess if you actually went back, and reread what I said..you might get it..maybe not.

I don't care one way or the other. This is a fan message board..opinions are opinions..they don't have to align..this isn't a social club.

To this day you still lie about the situation with Westbrook. We were not winning jack with AD and LeBron's injuries over the course of that season AND Westbrook stunk it up on the floor MORE than he was good for us on HIS own. Both things were true and you are too pig headed about the subject to ever acknowledge the 2nd part.

It really seems like the investigation came up empty with the Aspiration stuff and they caught a sniff on something else. We shall see.

SMH...One thing was more important to me, than the other my dude.. I never gave a s*** about Westbrook's legacy as a player. I viewed him as a useful asset. And he was.

See..what gets forgotten in all the Westbrook stuff, was something else that I said, that nobody ever brings up about that situation.

Westbrook had an expiring 47M contract and if s*** went left, we could flip that into more players that fit. Therefore it wasn't this horrible, worst trade ever crap. What happened? We flipped Westbrook and ran all the to the conference finals, but alas..Tinkerbell didn't show up.

However I kept getting told, that NOBODY was going to take on that contract. Hell No!!!!...Westbrook would be lucky to be playing in China at the end of his contract...blah..blah blah. 90% of this board was talking that mess...including YOU.

And we all said he was headed for taxpayer MLE or lower which was bang f*****g on, multiple teams.

After leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, Russell Westbrook signed contracts with the LA Clippers, Denver Nuggets, and Sacramento Kings, making roughly $3.8 million, $3.3 million, and $3.6 million per year on veteran minimum deals. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

    Contract Breakdown by Team

      • LA Clippers (2023–2024): Signed a 2-year, $7.8 million contract (average annual value of $3.9 million), earning about $3.8 million for the 2023–24 season and picking up a player option for roughly $4 millionfor 2024–25 before parting ways via trade/buyout.
      • Denver Nuggets (2024–2025): Collected $3,303,771 for the 2024–25 season following his acquisition and subsequent stint with Denver.
      • Sacramento Kings (2025–2026): Signed a 1-year veteran minimum deal worth $3,634,153 for the 2025–26 season. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

What was he supposed to do? He's not in charge of the investigation. He's already expressed some consternation that this thing hasn't been wrapped up yet. It's due diligence to let Toronto know, that it's on them if they stick it out, because it's possible, that something might come from it.

Meh...So what? Again..for some reason YOU guys..were more concerned about , what happened with his career afterwards ,than I was. I didn't give a s*** what happened with Russ after leaving..the same way I feel about just about every player that leaves. I said that he was as an asset, we could flip for a more successful mix. That's it..and that's exactly what happened too. Rob could have flipped Westbrook for Kyrie..he could have kept those contracts that he picked up too..he did neither and then whined about not having the assets to make trades in the following offseason. Those were his choices, including trading for Westbrook in the first place. He put himself in the position of trading for Westbrook, by letting Shroeder walk for nothing.

Whatever. Congratulations you have me annoyed with you again.

    :swear:
And to this day you don't give a s*** for sincere argument's sake about the rest of us here, concerning the truthful level of Westbrook's play as a Laker which WE did care about. The bad outweighed the good by a long shot whether LeBron and AD were dead or alive.

Which meant exactly what man? You were more annoyed that Westbrook didn't play better , on a s***ty a** team? SO WHAT? We flipped him and went to the Conference Finals!! No.. I still don't get your point. Westbrook, AD and Lebron played 500 ball in the few games they played together. So it's a false narrative that it didn't matter whether James and Davis were healthy are not. That's still CAP.

Why don’t you once in awhile in these stupid westbrook discussions try replying to exactly what’s written to you instead of going to the same old talking points. That’s what’s disingenuous about you. It’s really simple he sucked more than he was good for us as a player himself. Or for any team since or he wouldn’t be relegated to vet mins from that point on. You make it about everything else except HIS play. Congratulations you’ve got me annoyed with you again finally over this stupid topic. I brought it up as a good natured joke defending you for crissakes LOL.
