Carr's a really smooth scorer off ball. His banged his thumb up and his 3 seems to be suffering a little, but the guy is a rotation player already.
I get giddy every single time this kid touches the ball. As everyone has already mentioned, this kid looks ready. Knows how to speak, carries himself well, beautiful form, crazy length, above average athleticism, and above average shot blocking. He is clearly NBA material. I’m hoping he can avg 15-20 mins per game by the 2nd half of the season. Hoping JJ allows him to shine.
Very much agree he’s going to be a good one. May even have IT. Tons of confidence and game already and so smooth out there. Work on the legs! Maybe @Kenzo could face time with his gym work to max his lower body.
He better be getting real burn by the time we hit game 40. He’s just too good, on both sides of the ball, to only play spot minutes in blowouts for an entire season.
If Carr can build some cred with Redick with good all around play he can be relied on when either Doncic or Reaves will miss some time.
Love his defensive intensity and self-awareness, criticizing himself for giving up straight-line drives. I haven't been this excited about a rookie, probably since Ingram. Funny that they both have the same body type.
We don't need him to start and that's a good thing. He's definitely showing he's deserving minutes every night and that's a win already. Summer league has 90% of players who will never play in the NBA. In any case, it's the opponents he has in front of him and he's delivering. Now comes training camp, practicing with pros and playing a few preseason games against real opposition. This is the next step. Let's see how he fares on it and that will determine his rotation position on opening night. For now it seems he would penciled in as the 8/9th player, getting around 15mpg. That's a good start, no need to rush
